DURHAM, N.C. – Blue Devil incoming freshman Mikayla Boykin has been selected one of eight high school seniors to compete in the American Family Insurance High School Three-Point Championship, which will take place March 31 from 12-2 p.m. (ET) at Greenway High School in Phoenix, Ariz. The competition will be shown live April 2 at 3:30 p.m., on CBS.

Boykin, a product of Clinton, N.C., averaged 37.4 points, 13.8 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 6.6 assists on the season, while earning Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year. The 5-9 guard ranked No. 2 nationally in scoring and drained 116 three-pointers on the year, which ranked as the third most in North Carolina history. Boykin set the North Carolina single season scoring record with 1,159 points and broke the single game scoring record twice with 62 and 63 points. She also broke the state record with four quadruple-doubles.
As a senior, she led Clinton to the North Carolina AA State Championship and was named MVP with 31 points, which ended a 27-year state championship drought for the high school.
The championship will also feature a men's slam dunk and three-point competition.
