Giles and Tatum: Bonded by Basketball

DURHAM, N.C. – Freshmen Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum—while dominant on the court—have a friendship even stronger outside of basketball.

Dating back to the beginning of high school, their bond has grown over the years spent together playing around the country. Giles and Tatum were both members of the USA team as ninth graders, and were roommates for that as well as nearly every other camp and tournament that followed.

In this feature, Tatum notes that it was a mutual decision to come to Duke and expresses his appreciation for the opportunity to continue playing with one of his closest friends for such a prestigious program.

The Blue Devils look to continue their hot streak in the conference, as they have won their previous four contests including noteworthy victories over Notre Dame and North Carolina.

Giles and Tatum will help lead the charge against a hungry Clemson (13-10, 3-8), a team looking for a big win as the regular season nears the home stretch. Tip is scheduled for 1 p.m., with coverage on the ACC Network.
