DURHAM, N.C. - Classes are in session and the weather is starting to turn. Across the nation, college basketball players are balancing classes and conditioning with an increased workload on the court.
Summer sessions, and the grueling work that comes with them on the court and in the weight room, are in the rearview mirrior.
Fall is a time for focus.
Episode 1: Amile Jefferson
After losing all but nine games of the 2015-16 season to a foot injury, Amile Jefferson is back for a fifth season - and third as a captain - with the Duke men's basketball program.
Jefferson is one of four active Duke players who has put a national championship banner in Cameron Indoor Stadium, and he will be the emotional leader of a young and talented team in pursuit of another title in 2017.
Add in the fact that Jefferson is one of the most prolific offensive rebounders in Duke history and it's easy to see why head coach Mike Krzyzewski puts so much trust in the Philadelphia native.
Today, we put the Fall Focus on Amile Jefferson.
