LAS VEGAS -- For the second time since his return to Mike Krzyzewski's Duke staff, Jeff Capel is part of the staff that will lead a collection of some of the world's elite basketball players into a major international competition.
Duke's associate head coach is currently serving as a staff assistant with the U.S. Olympic Team, aiding Coach K and his staff in running practice, breaking down film and scouting opponents, among other duties.
Capel performed the same role for the U.S. at the FIBA World Cup in 2014 as the Americans claimed yet another international gold medal under Coach K's guidance. Former Duke star Kyrie Irving was named the MVP of that tournament.
During a recent practice at the U.S. Olympic Team training camp, Blue Devil Network had Capel wired for sound. Hear his perspective during a Team USA practice and catch up with him at the end of the session in this BDN feature.
