Recapping 2016
- Duke finished the year 11-8 overall and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, marking the 20th time the Blue Devils advanced to NCAA postseason.
- Justin Guterding and Myles Jones were Duke's top two scorers with 71 and 70 points, respectively. Deemer Class was the top goal scorer with 50.
- The Blue Devils were the ACC Runners-Up after defeating No. 2 Notre Dame in 10-9 in the ACC semifinal game. Duke lost to Syracuse in the title game 14-8.

Jones Hauls in the Honors
- Myles Jones became the second Blue Devil in three seasons to be named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year, joining Jordan Wolf on the list.
- Jones is the seventh Blue Devil under John Danowski to earn a major conference honor.
- The Huntington, N.Y., native picked up his second straight L.T. j.g. Donald MacLaughlin Award as the top midfielder in the nation. He is the first Blue Devil to win the award twice and the second to win consecutive major awards from the USILA - Matt Danowski did so in 2007 and 2008.
- Jones also was named a Tewaaraton Award finalist for the second straight season, the fourth Duke player to earn that distinction.
- He garnered his third All-ACC award, one of 11 Blue Devils to do so in his career.
Jones in the Record Books
- With an assist against Marquette, Myles Jones became just the fifth player in Duke history and the first midfielder in Division I lacrosse history to record 100 goals and 100 assists in his career.
- Jones finished his career with 231 career points, the most by a Duke midfielder and seventh among the Blue Devils overall.
- His 126 goals are the second most by a Duke midfielder and rank 12th in Duke history, while his 105 assists are tops among midfielders and fifth at Duke.
- He is one of three Blue Devil midfielders to record 40 goals in a season, while his 77 and 70 points in 2015 and 2016, respective, are midfield single-season records and among the top 20 overall at Duke.
- Jones owns two of the top 10 single-season assists performances with 37 in both 2015 and 2016. They rank tied for seventh and are the most by a Duke midfielder in program history.
- Among Division I midfielders in NCAA history, Jones ranks second in points behind Gary Gait's 253. He also is one of 23 midfielders all-tiem to score 40 goals in a season and one of only eight players to do so since 2000.

Class in the Record Books
- Deemer Class became the second Blue Devil midfielder in program history behind Jones to score 100 goals and 200 points in his career.
- Class finished with 134 career goals, the most by a midfielder in Duke history and 19 career hat tricks.
- He scored a career-high and Duke midfield record 50 goals in 2016, making him just the ninth Blue Devil overall to score 50 goals in a season and only the sixth midfielder in NCAA history to reach the benchmark.

- Class ranks 12th in career points (201) and 10th in career goals (134). He is one of six midfielders in NCAA history to score 200 points and ranks fifth all-time.
Class and Jones a Dangerous Tandem
- Tewaaraton Award nominees Deemer Class and Myles Jones were the most dynamic midfield duo in program history, combining for 260 goals and 172 assists for 432 career points.
- They are the lone midfielders in program history to score 200 career points and rank No. 1 and No. 2 among midfielders on the career points and goals list.
- In each of the past two seasons, Class and Jones have combined for at least 31 percent of the team's scoring. They accounted for 133 of Duke's 409 points (33 percent) in 2016 and 123 of 403 (31 percent) in 2015.
- The top midfield tandem in Division I lacrosse history was Paul and Gary Gait at Syracuse. They combined for 465 points from 319 goals and 146 assists.
Bruckner Joined Century Club
- With his final goal at Loyola during the regular season, Jack Bruckner became the 47th Blue Devil to register 100 career points.
- Bruckner has 99 goals and 33 assists for 132 points and is one of two returning Blue Devils in the fraternity. He is 33rd on the Duke career points chart.
Guterding Makes History
- Sophomore Justin Guterding established a pair of records in 2016, becoming the fastest Blue Devil to 100 career points and the first player to score 70 points in each of his first two seasons.
- Guterding reached the 100-points mark in only 25 games, besting Matt Danowski's record of 27.
- He has 141 career points in 37 games from 95 goals and 46 assists. His 3.81 points per game career average is fifth among active players.
Fastest to 100 Career Points
- Senior longstick midfielder Jamie Ikeda saved his best year for last. The Conestoga product registered 16 caused turnovers, surpassing his total 14 from his previous 44 combined games.
- He finished 2016 with 34 ground balls, more than doubling his 15 ground balls from last season. He was one shy of matching his 35 in his first three seasons combined.
NCAA Active Leaders Heading into 2017
- A host of Blue Devils head into the 2017 season among the active leaders in points, faceoffs and goals, etc.
- Justin Guterding will begin his junior season fifth in points per game (3.81), 10th in career points (141), eighth in goals (95) and sixth in goals per game (2.57).
- Jack Bruckner is 13th among active players in career points (132) and seventh in goals (99).
- Kyle Rowe will begin his final season as the nation's leader in ground balls (376), third in ground balls per game (8.00), second in faceoffs won (605), fifth in faceoff win percentage (.628) and fourth in faceoffs attempted (963).

- Justin Guterding has scored a point in all 37 of his games as a Blue Devil, totaling 95 goals and 46 assists for 141 points.
- Jack Bruckner is riding a 38-game point streak, dating back to May 26, 2014. He has 120 points from 92 goals and 28 assists in that span.
- Bruckner and Guterding's streaks rank seventh and eighth respectively among returning players nationally.
