DURHAM, N.C. -- Through the first eight games of the ACC portion of Duke's 2016 schedule, the Blue Devils owned a 4-4 record, leading some to question how the team would respond. Duke responded admirably, winning five straight games, improving its record to 9-5 against conference opponents and demonstrating the maturity and growth of this year's Blue Devil squad.
Head coach Mike Krzyzewski discusses his pride in the growth that this year's team has showcased since arriving on campus for summer workouts. The winningest coach in NCAA Division I men's basketball highlights the team's ability to fight against adversity and injury, garner a four seed in this year's tournament and reach the Sweet 16. Junior guard and captain Matt Jones reflects on the team's response after opening conference play with a 4-4 record, while sophomore guard Grayson Allen joins the conversation, applauding this year's Blue Devil squad for fighting after a shaky start to the ACC slate.
