DURHAM, N.C. – The Blue Devils concluded the three-day Kitty Harrison Invitational on a high note, as Duke posted a perfect 4-0 record Sunday morning at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center in Durham, N.C.
Senior Chalena Scholl remained undefeated in singles action over the weekend, posting a 6-3, 6-2 win over Iowa's Zoe Douglas. Sophomore Kaitlyn McCarthy earned her second singles win of the competition after downing Elise Van Heuvelen, 7-6, 7-6, while senior Alyssa Smith earned her third singles victory of the weekend with a 6-2, 6-3 result over Anastasia Reimchen. Redshirt sophomore Christina Makarova rounded out Duke's singles victories on Sunday, registering a three-set, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 win.
The Blue Devils remain off from competition until Jan. 13, when Duke travels to Las Vegas, Nev., for the UNLV Invitational.
