DURHAM, N.C.—The Blue Devil women's soccer team welcomes the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation this fall with the addition of six very talented student-athletes. The Blue Devil Network is spotlighting each of the freshmen over the next two weeks.
The first freshman is
Taylor Racioppi, who is a native of Ocean Township, N.J. The 5-5 midfielder was rated as the No. 2 overall player in the class of 2015. Racioppi was a member of the U-20 Women's National Team in the 2014 World Cup in Canada and has participated on U.S. national teams since 2011. Over her career at Ocean Township H.S., she tallied 50 goals and 16 assists for 116 points. She was a 2013 and 2014 NSCAA Youth All-America.
Duke will open the 2015 season Friday, Aug. 21 at 5:00 p.m., in the UNC Nike Classic against Fresno State.
