DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Football's Summer Spotlight series comes to an end with redshirt senior center Matt Skura.
Named to the 2015 Watch Lists for the Rimington Trophy, Lombardi Trophy and Outland Trophy, Skura has made 27 consecutive starts entering the 2015 campaign. Already this preseason he has been named to the All-ACC first team by Athlon Sports, Lindy's Sports, Phil Steele's College Football Preview and Sporting News.
Last fall, Skura was a third team All-ACC selection by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association and an honorable mention All-ACC pick by the league's head coaches. He was tabbed the co-ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week following Duke's 20-13 win over Virginia. He centered the offensive line which led the nation in fewest tackles for loss allowed per game (3.15).
Skura caught up with Blue Devil Network's Dave Harding while at the ACC Kickoff in Pinehurst last week and discussed the team's offseason workouts, Skura's chemistry with quarterback Thomas Sirk and camping out at the Duke Chapel.
