Tomlinson Readies for NFL Draft

DURHAM, N.C. – With the 2015 NFL Draft just two days away, former Duke offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson is getting ready to hear his name called. Tomlinson, a Chicago native, is one of 28 prospects who will be attending the NFL Draft.
Before heading home, Tomlinson caught up with Blue Devil Network to discuss the draft process, what his expectations are and what he is looking forward to the most.
Tomlinson, a two-time first team All-ACC selection, served as a team captain in 2014 and helped the Blue Devil offensive unit become the first in school history to average 180-plus rushing yards and 210-plus passing yards per game. He was voted a consensus All-America selection in 2014 after receiving first team All-America honors by the Associated Press and Walter Camp Foundation and second team accolades from Athlon, Sporting News and USA Today. Tomlinson was also the 2014 recipient of the Courage Award presented by the Football Writers Association of America in conjunction with the Orange Bowl and was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which recognizes community service in addition to academic and athletic achievement.
