The 12th-ranked Duke women's basketball team (10-3) will close non-conference action Thursday, Dec. 31 as the Blue Devils will host UNCW (4-6) at 2 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Tuesday's game will be carried live on Blue Devil Network Plus as well as on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on WDNC 620 AM, 99.3 FM, 96.5 FM and www.GoDuke.com with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Duke will play its second of three games over a span of six days, including the ACC opener at Syracuse Sunday, Jan. 3.
What is Next?... The Blue Devils will open ACC action Sunday, Jan. 3 with a contest at Syracuse at 1 p.m.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes... • The Blue Devils will play on New Year's Eve for only the sixth time in school history and the first since 2009. Duke owns a 5-0 mark in those games.
• Duke will play its second straight game against a team from the state of North Carolina. One from the mountains (WCU) and one from the beach (UNCW).
• Duke owns a 150-game winning streak at home against unranked opponents. The Blue Devils have also won 79 straight home games against unranked non-conference opponents.
• For the first time this season, all 11 players who played for Duke against Western Carolina scored.
• Duke has hit only 5-of-22 treys the last two contests (22.7%).

Faith Suggs came off the bench against WCU and totaled a career-high eight points on 3-of-4 field goals.
• The Blue Devils are currently ranked No. 7 in the latest NCAA RPI -- UConn, Southern California, Stanford, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Tennessee, Duke, South Carolina, Baylor and Green Bay.

Azurá Stevens has pulled down an ACC-best 54 offensive rebounds on the year. Her season highs of 32 points (tied), 16 rebounds and eight blocks are ACC bests, as well.
• In the 10 games won by the Blue Devils, the squad has averaged 46.0 rebounds and a 14.4 rebounding margin. In the three losses, Duke has averaged 39.3 rebounds and a -0.7 margin. The Blue Devils have also hit 48.8 percent from the field.

Azurá Stevens currently ranks sixth nationally in double-doubles (7), 26th in blocks (2.5), 45th in field goal percentage (55.0), 50th in rebounds (9.3) and 17th in points per game (18.8). Her 99 field goals made rank eighth nationally.

Angela Salvadores currently ranks tied 10th in the ACC averaging 3.8 assists per game. It is tied for the highest among rookies in the league. Her 3.8 average also ranks tied 20th nationally among rookies.
• Duke's two three-pointers, eight assists and four steals at Kentucky were season lows.
• After opening the season with three straight games with 20 or more turnovers, Duke had gone six consecutive contests with 17 or fewer giveaways until the Blue Devils had a season-high 27 turnovers against WCU.

A Look at UNCW... UNCW enters the contest Thursday with a 4-6 overall record and has lost five out of the last seven games. The Seahawks are coming off a 63-47 win at North Florida.
On the year, Naqaiyyah Teague (9.8 points, 7.1 rebounds), Shatia Cole (9.4 points, 13 treys) and Jordan Henry (9.1 points, 9.2 rebounds) have led UNCW.
The Seahawks average only 14.8 turnovers a game.
The Series with UNCW... Duke looks to close out its non-conference slate on a high note as UNCW comes to Durham on New Years Eve.
This will be the 10th meeting between the Blue Devils and the Seahawks, a series which Duke leads by a count of 7-2, including a 6-0 mark at home.
Duke has dominated the series recently, winning five in a row since 1984, including a 107-45 victory in 2011. The 107 points were UNCW's record for most points allowed in a game, while it was Coach P's fourth 100+ point output as the head coach of the Blue Devils.
Duke Against the Colonial Athletic Conference... Duke owns a 27-7 record all-time against teams from the Colonial Athletic Conference—College of Charleston (1-0), Delaware (1-0), Elon (3-4), Hofstra (2-0), James Madison (6-1), UNCW (8-2), Northeastern (2-0), and William & Mary (4-0).
Duke has won 23 games in a row against CAC teams. The last loss was against UNCW in 1982.

Alexis Jones in 2012-13 with 144 dishes, but the previous one was back in 2004-05 with

Tough Defense... So far this season, Duke has held four different opponents to a season-low points -- Iowa State (48), Texas State (34), UMass (46) and Liberty (41).
The Blue Devils have also held seven opponents to a season low field goal percentage -- Penn, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Texas State, UMass, Liberty and Western Carolina.
Blue Devils at Home... Duke owns a 6-1 record at home this season and holds a 21.7 scoring margin in those contests.
Azurá Stevens is averaging 20.9 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, 1.7 steals and 1.7 assists in Cameron this season. She is hitting 57.8 percent of her field goals. Stevens has four games of 20+ points at home this year.

Angela Salvadores is averaging 9.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds, while hitting 51.2 percent from the field.
Rebecca Greenwell owns averages of 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 steals in the seven home games. She is hitting 50.6 percent from the field and 39.6 percent from downtown.
Lyneé Belton has drained 71.4 (10-of-14) percent of her field goals.
