DURHAM, N.C. – The four teams competing in Cary, N.C., this week for the NCAA College Cup are set with Duke, Florida State, Rutgers and Penn State vying for a NCAA Championship at WakeMed Soccer Park Dec. 4, 6.
Rutgers (19-3-3) and Penn State (20-3-2) will kick things off at 5 p.m., followed by the Blue Devils (13-5-5) and Seminoles (18-2-4) at 7:30 p.m. No information has been released on television.
Florida State and Duke met earlier this season to kick off ACC action Sept. 20 as the two squads played 110 minutes without scoring a goal as the team finished with a 0-0 draw in Durham, N.C. After playing two true road contests, Duke will get to play in its home state of North Carolina as the Blue Devils compete in their third NCAA College Cup.
Duke also advanced to the NCAA College Cup in 1992 and 2011 and won its semifinal match before falling in the title game.
