Duke 85, Boston College 62As a Team • Duke earned its 13th win of the year, marking the ninth time in program history the Blue Devils opened the season with 13 straight wins.
• Duke moved to 18-2 when facing Boston College and 27-8 in ACC openers. Duke also improved to 119-18 when ranked No. 2 in the AP Poll with the win.
• The victory marked the 13th straight game the Blue Devils won by 10-or-more points. Duke has defeated each of its opponents by an average of 24.7 points per game this season.
Closing on 1K• With the win, Coach K improved to 996-306 all-time and 923-247 at Duke. He is four wins shy of becoming the first Division I men's coach in NCAA history to record 1,000 career victories.
• Saturday's win moved Coach K's record against ACC opponents to 418-168.
• Duke improved to 13-0 for the eighth time under Coach K. The last time the Blue Devils started a season 13-0 under Coach K occurred during the 2012-13 season.

Quinn Cook scored double-digit points for the 12th game this season and the 58th time in his career, netting 15 points on 5-of-14 (.357) shooting. Cook moved into 47th on Duke's all-time scorers list with 1,162 points.
• Cook posted two assists against Boston College to bring his career assists total to 447. Cook remains in 11th on Duke's all-time assists list.
• Cook's 3-of-9 (.333) shooting performance from beyond the arc extended his consecutive games with a made three-pointer streak to an ACC-leading 23. Cook's last game without at least one made three pointer came against Maryland on Feb. 15, 2014.
On the Offensive End• Duke has trailed just 6:13 through the first 13 games of the season. The Blue Devils' largest deficit they have faced this year is four points – 6-2 vs. Wisconsin (Dec. 3).
• Duke has outscored its opponents in every half of a game this season except in the second half against Stanford (Nov. 22) and the second half against Elon (Dec. 15).

• Saturday's game marked the 48th time during the Coach K era three freshmen started. In 1982-83, three or more freshmen started 27 games, the highest number of games with three or more freshmen starting under Coach K.
• Two or more Duke freshmen scored double digits in a game for the 11th time this season (Okafor-28, Winslow-13).
• Okafor set a Duke freshman record for made free throws with 14. Kyrie Irving previously held the record with 13 made free throws on Dec. 1, 2011 against Michigan State. Okafor attempted 17 free throws, tying Austin Rivers for the freshman record.
• Okafor scored his first 23 points on 6-of-9 field goal attempts and 11 made free throws, making him the seventh freshman in program history to score 20-or-more points on nine-or-fewer field goal attempts.
• Okafor led Duke in scoring for the seventh time this season after scoring a career high 28 points on 7-of-11 (.636) shooting. Okafor's 28 points is the 13th most by a Duke freshman. A freshman has served as Duke's leading scorer in 10 of the team's 13 games. Okafor's 28 points is also the most scored by a freshman in a conference opener. J.J. Redick (22 at Clemson; 1/5/2003) and Robert Roellke (22 at Virginia; 12/16/1994) previously shared the record.
