DURHAM, N.C. -- Although Cameron Indoor Stadium will always hold a special place in any Duke fan's heart, Madison Square Garden has also provided its share of memorable moments in Blue Devil basketball history. Head coach Mike Krzyzewski not only became the winningest coach in Division I men's basketball history by defeating Michigan State, 74-69, on Nov. 15, 2011, but it would also serve as the backdrop for his 1,000th career win.
Krzyzewski reflects on the history of playing in Madison Square Garden, and the importance of competing in venues that will remain special for a player after their playing careers come to an end. Junior Amile Jefferson expands on the excitement that surrounds the team when traveling to New York and playing in Madison Square Garden.
