DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke women's basketball program will feature five newcomers on the 2014-15 roster as head coach Joanne P. McCallie enters her eighth season with the Blue Devils. The Blue Devil Network took some time out this summer to get to know the rookies.
The first newcomer to be featured is a local product from Raleigh, N.C., Azurá Stevens. Stevens is a 6-5 wing that attended Cary High School. As a senior, she averaged 29.6 points, 18.1 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals. Stevens was named a Parade Magazine All-America in her final season and was invited to the 2014 USA Basketball Women's U18 National Team trials.
Make sure you check back each Friday for the next four weeks to see the new freshmen videos.
