DURHAM, N.C. -- As Duke prepares for the postseason, the Blue Devil Network and GoDuke.com will count down the top plays from the first 12 games of the 2014 football campaign. The site will feature one highlight per day with the top play revealed on Saturday, December 27 when the Blue Devils (9-3) participate in the program's third consecutive bowl game, meeting No. 15 Arizona State (9-3) in the Hyundai Sun Bowl at 2 p.m. (ET) on CBS.
It was hard to limit the countdown to only ten plays, so in advance of tomorrow's unveiling of the top play of the 2014 season, we decided to give five other plays honorable mention:
1.) Offensive tackle Casey Blaser recovers a fumble for a touchdown against Wake Forest
2.) Bryon Fields returns an interception 22 yards for a touchdown vs. Tulane
3.) Jack Willoughby recovers his own onside kick against Wake Forest
4.) Johnell Barnes makes a 29-yard catch along the sidelines vs. Miami
5.) Jeremy Cash QB sacks the quarterback and forces a fumble against Wake Forest
