El Paso, Texas – After a dress rehearsal Thursday afternoon practice session, members of the Duke football team took a trip to the El Paso Children's Hospital, a local hospital opened in February of 2012 that is the largest expansion of pediatric medical services in West Texas and features 122 private pediatric rooms.
The Blue Devils split into several groups, visiting patients in their rooms and in the hospital's main lobby area. Duke's players spent time talking with patients as well as signing autographs and Duke's 2014 Hyundai Sun Bowl poster and taking pictures while spreading some holiday cheer.
The Blue Devil Network caught up with freshman linebacker
Zavier Carmichael and freshman wide receiver
Chris Taylor to talk about what the visit to the hospital meant to them, as well as a little bit about their first bowl experiences.
