DURHAM, N.C. – Left tackle
Takoby Cofield will be one of 28 seniors recognized Saturday night prior to Duke's regular season finale against Wake Forest. Cofield, a three-year starter, is a key member of an offensive line that has been one of the best at the FBS level this season, ranking among the top 10 in fewest sacks and fewest tackles for loss allowed per game.
On Tuesday when Duke met with the media for its weekly in-season availability, Cofield spoke with the play-by-play voice of the Blue Devils, Bob Harris. The two covered the growth of the Duke program, the brotherhood of the offensive line and memories that he will always have with him as a result of being a part of the squad.
Cofield's Blue Devils (8-3, 4-3 ACC) end the regular season against the Demon Deacons (3-8, 1-6 ACC) this Saturday at 7 p.m. The contest will be televised on ESPNU. Duke is looking to reach nine wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history.
