DURHAM, N.C. -- The nation's No. 1 recruiting class, comprised of McDonald's All-Americans Grayson Allen, Tyus Jones, Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow, will take the court this season as members of the Duke men's basketball team. To help our great fans learn more about this year's freshman class, GoDuke.com and the Blue Devil Network sat down with each rookie as part of a four-part, Duke Men's Basketball Freshman Focus series that will run weekly.
This week's freshman focus highlights Chicago, Ill., native, Jahlil Okafor, as he discusses his quick feet and large hands, and shares his goals for the upcoming season. In addition, Okafor reflects on growing up in Chicago, watching Derrick Rose, Anthony Davis and Jabari Parker play, and how the advice of Parker helped him develop his game. Fellow freshmen Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow join the conversation, providing a scouting report on the 6-foot-11 center.
Okafor and the Blue Devils open exhibition play Tuesday, Nov. 4, welcoming Livingstone to Cameron Indoor Stadium for a 7 p.m. contest.
