
Tahir Finishes Second In Singles Draw Sunday

DURHAM, N.C. – On the final day of a split weekend, senior Jason Tahir placed second in the singles championship of the A2 draw at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational in Winston-Salem to highlight the performances of Duke's men's tennis team.
Tahir, the draw's No. 2 seed, fell to the draw's top-seeded Mikelis Libietis of Tennessee 7-6 (4), 6-3.
Junior Josh Levine wrapped up Duke's singles participation in the Wake Forest Fall Invitational as he fell to Navy's Calvin Mark 7-6 (6), 6-3 in the 13th-place match.
Levine and Tahir took third place in doubles in the A3 draw with an 8-3 win against North Carolina's Stuart DePaolo and Maik Ulrich.
In San Francisco at the Battle in the Bay Classic, junior Daniel McCall and sophomore TJ Pura suffered an 8-4 setback to Pacific's Alex Hamilton and Sem Verbeek in a voluntary doubles match.
