Kim DeCesare was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week on Tuesday.
DeCesare, who is out of Massapequa Park, N.Y., totaled her sixth career multi-goal performance against the Razorbacks as she helped lead the Blue Devils into the NCAA quarterfinals for the third straight year. The 5-11 midfielder and forward also assisted on the game-winning goal to upset second-seeded and sixth-ranked Florida on Friday in the NCAA second round.
Over her career, DeCesare has accumulated 73 career points and 29 goals to rank ninth and sixth, respectively, in the Duke career record book. DeCesare owns 17 points and eight goals over her career in NCAA Tournament action, which both rank second on the Blue Devil charts.
Duke (9-8-6) will next compete on Friday, Nov. 29 at 4:00 p.m., at No. 1 seeded Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., for the chance to head to the NCAA College for the second time over the last three years and the third time in school history.
