♦ Virginia Tech cut the Duke lead to two points at 31-29 after Erick Green hit a three-pointer 16 seconds into the second half, but Duke went on a 12-5
run to regain a nine-point lead. Duke led by no less than five points until the 1:34 mark when the Hokies cut the lead back to four points at 55-51.
♦ Duke's 26 three-point attempts were the third most this season. Duke's five made three-pointers were tied for the third fewest this season.

Seth Curry – All-ACC third team
♦ Led the team in assists for the 10th time with five helpers. Duke is 5-1 when Curry records at least four assists.
♦ Made a three-pointer for the 12th consecutive game.
♦ Hauled in six rebounds, tying for the second most in a game in his career.
Josh Hairston
♦ Played 17 minutes, the second most of his career, with
Ryan Kelly out of the lineup. Hairston contributed four points on 2-of-3 shooting – including a
fastbreak layup – and three defensive rebounds.

♦ Did not play due to a right foot sprain, sitting out for the first time in his last 68 games. Kelly had appeared in every game since his sophomore
season. His last DNP was in the 2010 NCAA Championship game against Butler on April 5, 2010.
Mason Plumlee – All-ACC third team
♦ Notched his team-leading 11th double-double of the season. Duke has had a player record a double-double in four straight ACC Tournament games.
♦ Scored in double figures for the 19th time this season. Plumlee did his scoring on just three field goals. He finished 4-of-5 from the free throw line.
♦ Threw down four dunks, giving him 54 on the season and 124 in his career. Plumlee is four dunks shy of tying Shelden Williams' single-season Duke
dunks record and 23 shy of tying Robert Brickey's career Duke record.
♦ Recorded multiple blocks for the 18th time in Duke's 32 games. Plumlee had three blocks tonight, giving him 143 for his career for the sixth most in
Duke history.
♦ Plumlee has a block in every ACC Tournament game of his career.
Austin Rivers – ACC Rookie of the Year, All-ACC first team, Freshman All-America
♦ Played all 40 minutes and did not come off the floor the entire game. Rivers averages a team-leading 33.2 minutes per game which is the seventh
highest average in the ACC and the most among all ACC freshmen.
♦ Scored in double figures for the team-leading 28th time this season. Rivers' 28 double-figure scoring games are tied for the second most in the nation
among all NCAA freshmen.
♦ Led Duke in scoring for the 12th time.
♦ Recorded two three-point plays. Rivers has nine three-point plays on the year.
Tyler Thornton
♦ Scored a career-high 13 points and scored in double figures for the third time in his career.
♦ Sank three of his career-high 13 three-point attempts, the most three-point attempts by a Duke player this season and tied for the 10th most in school
history. Thornton had never attempted more than six three-pointers in a game.
♦ Hit multiple three-pointers for the third time in his last four games. Duke is 4-1 when Thornton hits at least two three-pointers. Thornton, who averages
4.0 points per game on the season, is averaging 8.0 ppg. during that span.
