• Duke improved to 39-8 all-time against Virginia Tech in a series that began in 1912. The Blue Devils are 10-3 against Virginia Tech since the Hokies joined the ACC and 16-1 against Virginia Tech in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
• Miles and
Mason Plumlee combined for 24 rebounds, including nine of Duke's final 12 rebounds over the final 8:25 of the game. Those two combine to average 16.4 rebounds and 17.3 points per game this season with 21 double-figure rebounding games.
• Miles and
Mason Plumlee outrebounded Virginia Tech 9-6 over the final 8:25 of the game. That run started with Duke trailing 53-52 at the 3:25 mark in the second half. Miles and Mason grabbed seven boards at the end of the second half and four of Duke's five rebounds in overtime.

• Duke had its lowest three-point shooting percentage in February, finishing 6-of-24 (.250) from beyond the arc. Duke had hit at least eight three-pointers in all seven February games entering Saturday and was shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc during that span.

Duke opponents are shooting just .292 (70-of-240) from the three-point line during that span.
