Blue Devils & Hurricanes to Tangle On Friday for No. 1 Seed in ACC Tournament...
In a contest that will determine the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournament, the seventh-ranked Duke women's basketball team (22-4, 13-1) will host fifth-ranked Miami (24-3, 13-1) on Friday, Feb. 24 at 7:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The game will be aired on ESPN3 with Cara Capuano (PXP) and Abby Waner (Color) calling the action. The contest can also be heard live on WDNC-AM 620 and www.GoDuke.com via the Blue Devil IMG Network's Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color).
Prior to the contest, Blue Devil seniors Kathleen Scheer and Shay Selby will be honored for senior night, which will take place at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Duke enters Friday with a 29-game home court winning streak in ACC contests. A win will lock up at least a share of the ACC regular season title for the third straight year.

Over the last 11 games, Tricia Liston has scored double-figures only three times ... Elizabeth Williams hit her first career three-pointer at Florida State ... Allison Vernerey has played in a team-best 98 straight contests ... A Look At Miami...
Sixth-ranked Miami enters Friday's contest with a ledger of 24-3 after collecting its 39 consecutive home victory Sunday in a 67-60 victory over Florida State. The Hurricanes are 13-1 in ACC play with the lone loss in conference action coming against North Carolina (65-63) on Jan. 2. Shenise Johnson (16.7 points, 8.0 rebounds), Riquna Williams (16.2 points, 3.4 rebounds), Morgan Stroman (12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds) and Stefanie Yderstrom (10.5 points, 1.4 rebounds) are all averaging double-figure scoring for Miami.
Head coach Katie Meier is in her seventh year at the helm of the program after earning ACC Coach of the Year honors last season. Meier garnered her 200th victory in Sunday's win against Florida State.
The Series With Miami...
Duke and Miami will meet for the ninth time in school history on Friday with the Blue Devils leading the overall series, 8-0. In last year's contest, the Blue Devils claimed an 82-58 victory in Durham.
The Blue Devils and Hurricanes will meet for the third straight year with both teams being ranked. Duke has scored 72 or more points in each of the seven meetings.
Friday's contest will mark the first time that Miami has been ranked higher than Duke when the two teams have played.
Duke owns a 4-0 record in games played in Durham with an average margin of victory at 25.8.
Blue Devil Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie will face Miami for the sixth time in her 20-year coaching career. McCallie and her Maine squad fell, 92-70, on Dec. 28, 1997 in Coral Gables, Fla. The last four years at Duke, Coach P led the Blue Devils to victories.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• The Blue Devils have won 29 straight games in Cameron Indoor Stadium against ACC opponents.
Duke has not lost an ACC contest at home since Maryland posted a 76-69 win on Feb. 17, 2008. Coach P is 32-2 at home against ACC opponents in her five years at Duke.
• Duke will face Miami for the second straight year following a loss - Duke lost to UConn last year in the game before.
• Former Duke two-time All-ACC and Honorable Mention All-America, Abby Waner, will be the color commentator on Friday. Waner had a memorable senior night on March 1, 2009 against ninth-ranked UNC as she drained a 3-pointer with 46 seconds left in overtime to help Duke to an 81-79 victory in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
• Both Duke (6th, 13.0) and Miami (4th, 13.8) rank in the top 10 nationally in steals per game.
• In the last nine home contests, Chelsea Gray has averaged 13.3 points, 7.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 steals. She has had a 2.6 assist/turnover ratio during those games.
• Over the last four games, Duke has drained 31-of-68 three-pointers for a 45.6 percentage. The Blue Devils are hitting an ACC-best 38.1 percent from long range.
• In the ACC, Tricia Liston ranks first in three-point field goal percentage (43.2), tied for fifth in three-point field goals made (1.6) and 23rd in scoring (10.9).
• Duke has been in a shooting slump in the last two contests, hitting only 36.8 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from downtown. The Blue Devils have averaged only 64.0 points in those games.
• Over the last seven games, Chelsea Gray has averaged 13.9 points, 5.1 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals. She has hit 11-of-22 treys (50.0%) during that span.
• Haley Peters has averaged 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 assists the last four games. She has hit 62.2 percent from the field.
• Freshman Elizabeth Williams has notched double-figure scoring in 12 straight games.
• In 14 league games, Duke boasts five double-figure scorers -- Williams (15.2), Jackson (11.1), Gray (12.1), Peters (11.7) and Liston (11.1). The Blue Devils are hitting 48.2 percent from the field in ACC contests.
• Duke has shot 50.0 percent or better in the second half of 12 games this season.
• Duke's four losses this season have come against No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Connecticut, No. 8 Maryland and No. 7 Kentucky.
• Duke owns five different players who have registered double-doubles on the season - Williams (6), Gray (2), Peters (1), Jackson (1) and Liston (1). The five players is the second-most in a single season in Blue Devil history -- 6 in 2009-10 and 2003-04. Duke has posted five on six different occasions. In 2011-12, Duke and Georgia Tech are the only teams in the league with five different players with double-doubles.
• With under three minutes left in games, Chelsea Gray is hitting 63.2 percent of her field goals and has scored 47 of Duke's 149 points. In her Blue Devil career, she has hit 25 of 44 field goals (56.8%) in the final three minutes of games. She scored 12 points in the final 3:23 at Boston College.
• Over the last 12 games, Elizabeth Williams has averaged 15.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 1.6 steals and 1.3 assists.

• Chelsea Gray needs only 11 assists to move into a tie for second on Duke's single-season assist list. She has 157 dishes on the year and is looking to move into a tie with Lindsey Harding (168).
• Over the last 13 games, five different players lead the Blue Devils in scoring -- Haley Peters (3), Elizabeth Williams (3), Richa Jackson (1), Tricia Liston (4) and Chelsea Gray (2).
• In Duke's 22 wins, the Blue Devils have hit 48.7 percent from the field and averaged 78.1 points. In the four losses, Duke has hit only 34.9 percent from the field and averaged 56.2 points.
• Haley Peters has hit nine out of her last 15 three-point field goal attempts and has drained a career-best 14 treys on the year.
• Duke has held four opponents to under 40 points this season. In Coach P's five years at Duke, the Blue Devils have held 21 opponents to under 40 points.
• With its win over UNC on Feb. 6, Duke notched 10 league wins for the 15th straight year.

• Blue Devil signees Alexis Jones and Sierra Moore have been named to the McDonald's All-America team, while Jones was also selected to the WBCA All-America game.

• The Blue Devils have been ranked in the top 10 the past 49 straight weeks. Duke leads the ACC with 221 all-time weeks ranked in the top 10. Next closest is UNC with 193.
• Duke is averaging 74.7 points this season, which is the most for a Blue Devil squad since 2005-06 with an 86.0 ledger. The most for a Coach P squad in her previous four years was 72.1 in 2008-09.
• Sophomore Tricia Liston has notched a team-best eight contests with 18 or more points - 23 vs. Gardner-Webb, 23 vs. North Carolina, 22 vs. Western Kentucky, 20 at Temple, 19 against Pittsburgh, 20 vs. Florida State, 18 versus UNCW and Virginia. She owns five games with 20+ points. A year ago, Jasmine Thomas had a total of five.
• Duke is currently averaging 16.5 assists per game on the year, which is the most since the 2005-06 campaign (20.5). Since Coach P joined the Blue Devils in 2007-08, the most Duke has averaged in a season is 15.0 in 2007-08 and 2010-11.
• Freshman Elizabeth Williams has 217 rebounds over her first 26 collegiate games, which ranks as the second-most over a rookie's first 26 contests in Duke history -- Chris Moreland (238), Elizabeth Williams (217) and Chante Black (195).
• The average age of Duke's squad this season is 19 years old. This is the youngest since the 2000-01 squad that had an average age of 18.2.
• Over the last 12 years, Duke owns the third-most wins in the nation -- Connecticut (403), Tennessee (363) and Duke (357) through games of 2/21.
• Duke lost 45.8 percent of its scoring from a year ago with the graduation of Jasmine Thomas, Krystal Thomas and Karima Christmas. All three were selected in the 2011 WNBA Draft.

Depleted Roster...
Duke has now lost three potential starters -- Richa Jackson, Chloe Wells and Amber Henson since the season started. Two of these student-athletes were McDonald's All-America selections -- Jackson and Henson. Wells had started the first 10 games and Henson played in eight contests before having surgery. The Blue Devils are down to eight scholarship players with three regular season contests remaining.
The trio of Tricia Liston, Kathleen Scheer and Ka'lia Johnson will be counted on for key minutes off the bench now. Jackson had started 17 contests this season, while Wells started 10.
Coming Off a Loss...
The Blue Devils will look to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time since the 2007-08 campaign when Duke fell three straight games in November and December.
Duke has not suffered back-to-back losses in January or February since the 1999-2000 season with defeats to 24th-ranked Virginia and Florida State.
The Blue Devils have gone 158 contests since back-to-back losses, which ranks second nationally to Connecticut (683). In the ACC, only Duke and Miami have gone without back-to-back losses in this season. Miami's 68 games without back-to-back losses is the second-best in the league.
Blue Devils To Face Alum...
Duke will battle former Blue Devil All-America Katie Meier for the eighth time as a head coach on Friday. Meier, who is in her seventh year as Miami Head Coach, also faced the Blue Devils on Nov. 29, 2001, when she was at the helm of Charlotte, and the last seven years as the Hurricanes coach. In the contest versus Charlotte, Duke won 64-39 in Charlotte, N.C.
Meier, who ranks fifth on Duke's all-time scoring list with 1,761 points, was inducted into the 2002 Hall of Honor. She was the 1986 ACC Rookie of the Year and Basketball Yearbook Freshman All-America. She was a letterwinner in 1986, '87, '89 and '90 for the Blue Devils.
At Home in 2011-12...
The Blue Devils have posted a 12-1 overall mark at home in 2011-12. Duke will look to close out the home slate on Friday avoiding a two-loss home season for only the second time 12 years. In 2007-08, the Blue Devils featured a 10-3 mark at home.
Duke has averaged 78.8 points and hit 46.1 percent of its field goals at home in 2011-12. Six Blue Devils are averaging double-digit scoring -- E.Williams (13.8), C.Wells (12.6), C.Gray (12.2), H.Peters (12.1), T.Liston (11.5) and R.Jackson (10.1).
Tricia Liston is hitting 45.3 percent from downtown at home (24-of-53). Chelsea Gray has posted double-figure scoring at home in nine straight games.
Against the Ranked in 2011-12...
Duke has produced a 3-4 record this season against ranked opponents. In those games, the Blue Devils have been led by the trio of Elizabeth Williams (14.3), Haley Peters (11.9) and Chelsea Gray (12.9). In those games, Duke has hit 35.1 percent of its three-point field goals. Gray has hit 10-of-24 treys (41.7%).
Peters has hit 52.9 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from downtown, while averaging 11.9 points and 5.9 rebounds. Gray has averaged 12.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.7 steals.
Blue Devils Lose Jackson to Torn ACL...
Duke head coach Joanne P. McCallie announced on Feb. 17 that sophomore Richa Jackson will miss the remained of the 2011-12 campaign, after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament of her left knee on Feb. 15 against Virginia Tech.
Jackson, who is a product of Midwest City, Okla., started 17 games this season, while averaging 9.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.1 assists. The 6-0 guard had started the past 17 straight games prior to the injury. She ranked sixth overall in field goal percentage (51.1), but in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) game only, she was second (57.1). Jackson also ranked 25th in scoring (11.1) in league contests.
Home Sweet Home...
Since Joanne P. McCallie took over as head coach at Duke in 2007-08, she has guided the Blue Devils to a 69-5 overall record in Cameron Indoor Stadium. During that stretch, the Blue Devils posted a 14-0 mark in 2008-09 and 17-0 ledger in 2010-11, which was only the second and third undefeated home seasons in school history.
Duke's loss to Connecticut snapped a school-record 34-game winning streak in Cameron. It is only the second loss at home over the last 60 games. Duke has won 69 out of the last 74 contests, 83 out of the last 88 and 164 out of the last 175 games since 2000-01.
The other top win streaks at home have been -- 34 (2010-12), 24 (2005-06 through 2007-08; 2007-08 through 2009-10; 21 (2001-02 through 2002-03), 20 (2003-04 through 2004-05) and 16 (1998-99 through 1999-2000).
