Team Notes:
• Duke won its 19th straight ACC home opener.
• Duke improved its ACC-leading home court win streak to 44 games. The Blue Devils have not lost in Cameron Indoor Stadium since Feb. 11, 2009 against North Carolina. Duke's 44-game streak is the second longest in the country behind Kentucky's 45-game streak and the second longest in school history behind Duke's 46-game run from 1997-2000.
• Duke improved to 3-1 against top-25 teams this season.
• The win was Duke's eighth straight in the series against Virginia and 17th win in the last 18 meetings. The Blue Devils own a 115-48 record in the series, which began in 1911.
• The Blue Devils became only the second team all season to score 60 points against Virginia. The Cavaliers entered the game ranked second nationally in points allowed per game (50.5).
• Duke also became the first team this season to shoot over 50.0 percent from the floor against the Cavaliers, finishing 24-for-46 (.522) for the game. Virginia ranked 20th in the NCAA in opponent field goal percentage, holding teams to a collective 38.0 percentage and all 16 teams under 50.0 percent prior to tonight's game.
• Duke scored 28 points in the first half and 33 in the second, becoming only third team all season to score at least 28 points in both halves against the Cavaliers.

Andre Dawkins tied the game four times until Duke took over the lead for good at the 16:48 mark in the second half. Dawkins hit consecutive free throws to put Duke ahead 14-13 at the 9:10 mark in the first half, hit back-to-back three-pointers in the final 3:06 of the first half to tie the score both times and then hit a pull-up jumper at the 16:48 mark in the second half to tie the score at 36-36. The Blue Devils would take the lead for good on their next possession.
• Duke had four players score in double figures for the 10th time this season. Duke is 10-0 when at least four players score 10 or more points.
• The first foul shot was not taken until the 9:09 mark of the first half. Duke and Virginia combined for just six fouls during the first 10 minutes of the game and just 14 fouls in the entire first half.
• Duke and Virginia combined for just 60 points in the first half, marking the lowest combined first-half score in a Duke game this season.
• Brothers Mason and
Miles Plumlee each recorded a block in the same game for the eighth straight game. Those two combine to average 3.2 blocks per game this season.
• Head coach
Mike Krzyzewski used only eight players for the entire game for only the second time this season. Duke used just eight players in the 68-61 win over Kansas at the Maui Invitational on Nov. 23.
Player Notes:
Seth Curry
• Made his 29th consecutive start. Duke is 24-5 during that 29-game streak.
• Scored in double figures for the 10th time and the fourth time in his last five games. Curry is averaging 13.8 points per game during that stretch.
• Filled up the stat sheet with four rebounds, two assists and his third block of the season.
Andre Dawkins
• Tied the game four times, doing so consecutive made free throws early in the first half, back-to-back three-pointers later in the first half and a pull-up jumper at the 16:48 mark in the second half. Duke would take the lead for good on the next possession after Dawkins' last made field goal went through.
• Scored in double figures for the seventh time this season and the 24th time in his career.
Ryan Kelly
• Drew a foul as the shot clock expired with 2:26 remaining in the game and Duke leading 59-55. Kelly hit both free throws to increase the lead to six points. In Duke's 81-74 win against Georgia Tech last Saturday, Kelly hit all eight free throws in the final 40 seconds to protect a slim lead.
• Extended his streak of made free throws to 19 before missing on both attempts with 1:02 remaining in the game.
• Scored nine points and tied a season high with three blocks.
Mason Plumlee
• Made his 37th consecutive start. Duke is 31-6 during that 36-game streak.
• Scored in double figures for the 11th time this season. Plumlee scored nine of his 12 points in the second half as Duke outscored Virginia 33-26.
• Keyed an early second half run for the Blue Devils by scoring six points as part of a 10-4 rally.
• Converted his fourth three-point play of the year when he powered to the rim for a layup, drew a foul and then hit the ensuing free throw.
• Recorded a block for the 11th straight game. Plumlee ranks ninth on Duke's all-time blocks list with 122 career rejections.
Miles Plumlee
• Recorded a block for the eighth straight game. Plumlee has 20 blocks during that span for an average of 2.5 per game.
• Hit both field goal attempts, including a long-range jumper from just inside the three-point line, to raise his team-leading field goal percentage to .692. Plumlee is 33-for-41 (.805) from the floor over his last 11 games.
• Fouled out with 3:08 remaining in the game. It was the first time this season that Plumlee has fouled out.
Austin Rivers
• Scored in double figures for the team-leading 13th time this season. Rivers scored 11 points and went 5-of-8 from the floor to tie for his highest field goal percentage of the season.
• Went 3-of-4 from the floor for seven points in the second half. Rivers also assisted on
Mason Plumlee's three-point play in that half and recorded a steal.
