DURHAM, N.C.- For all of those Duke women's basketball fans who are going through withdrawals of hoops season, check out some highlights of Blue Devil incoming freshman
Elizabeth Williams.
A 2011 Morgan Wootten National Player of the Year selection, Williams averaged 18.9 points, 11.4 rebounds and 5.1 blocked shots for Princess Anne H.S., as a senior. She was named MVP of the McDonald's All-America contest as she set a single-game record with 23 points to go along with a game-high 11 rebounds. Williams, who is a product of Virginia Beach, Va., was also a Parade Magazine selection in 2011 and played in the WBCA All-America contest.
Williams also led the USA Basketball U-19 Women's World Championship team to the gold
medal this summer. She now owns three gold medals with USA Basketball over her career.
