DURHAM, N.C.— Freshman Laura Weinberg of the Duke women's soccer team sat down with GoDuke.com this week to talk about the spring season, her summer plans and what she is working on this spring, among other topics.
A product of Boca Raton, Fla., Weinberg started 20 of her 23 matches played as a rookie this past season. She led Duke with 10 goals to go along with two assists and 22 points. Her 10 goals were tied for the most goals scored by a freshman at Duke. Recently, she was voted Duke's Offensive MVP by her teammates at the end of the year banquet.
Weinberg helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 this past season as Duke registered an 11-8-4 overall record.
