DURHAM, N.C. – Fifth-ranked Duke claimed its third straight and 19th overall ACC Tournament Championship on Sunday with a 75-58 win over rival North Carolina.
Senior Nolan Smith picked up ACC Tournament MVP honors after scoring a game-high 20 points and dishing out 10 assists on Sunday. Smith was joined by senior Kyle Singler on the ACC All-Tournament first team, while sophomore Seth Curry and junior Miles Plumlee were named to the second team.
It was the 13th ACC Tournament crown for Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski, who tied UNC's Dean Smith for most all-time in conference history.
