DURHAM, N.C.— Coming off registering career highs in points with 13 and rebounds with nine on Thursday against 18th-ranked Miami, freshman Richa Jackson met with Steve Barnes of the Blue Devil Sports Network to talk about her first collegiate start, coming back from her injury and how she got her confidence back after the injury.
Jackson, a native of Midwest City, Okla., missed five games in December and January but was rewarded with her first start of the season on Thursday evening against the Hurricanes. The 6-0 wing made the most out of her start as she scored nine points in the first half and went on to finish with a career-high 13 points and missed a double-double by one rebound in a season-high 25 minutes.
Duke will next travel down Tobacco Road to face 15th-ranked North Carolina on Monday, Feb. 7 at 7:00 p.m., on ESPN2. The game will be played in Carmichael Arena.
