Team Notes:
• Duke extended its NCAA-leading home court win streak to 40 consecutive games. Duke has not lost in Cameron Indoor Stadium since Feb. 11, 2009 and is 54-1 at home since the 2008-09 season.
• Duke started 8-1 for the 19th time in school history and the eighth time under head coach
Mike Krzyzewski.
• Duke won its 90th consecutive home game against a non-conference team, which is the longest active streak in the nation.
• Duke won its 84th consecutive game against an unranked, non-conference team in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
• For the ninth consecutive time, Duke posted a double-digit victory following a loss. Duke has not lost back-to-back games since February, 2009 and is 11-0 following a loss during that span.
• In the month of December, Duke is now 51-3 under Coach K.
• The point guard duo of
Seth Curry and
Tyler Thornton combined for 12 assists and just one turnover. Duke had a season-high 21 assists and a season-low nine turnovers.
• Mason and
Miles Plumlee combined for 28 points, 15 rebounds, eight blocks and four steals while shooting .846 (11-for-13) from the floor.
• Duke shot 56.4 percent for the game and improved to 444-30 under Coach K when shooting 50 percent or better.
• The Blue Devils led by a score of 47-30 at halftime and improved to 5-0 this season when leading at the half. The 17-point halftime advantage was Duke's second largest of the season, trailing only the 23-point advantage Duke held over Presbyterian at the half.
• The Blue Devils went on a 16-4 run in the first half over a span of 3:48 that turned a 7-7 tie into a 23-11 Blue Devil lead.
• Duke led by at least 11 points over the final 23:47. Duke's largest lead of the game was 26 points at 81-55.
• Duke held Colorado State scoreless over the final 5:04 of the first half and outscored the Rams 10-0 during that span.
• In the first half, Duke shot 58.1 percent for its third highest shooting percentage in a half this year. Duke shot 67.9 percent in the first half against Presbyterian and 65.0 percent in the first half against Michigan. Duke has shot 50 percent or better in seven of 18 halves this season.
Player Notes:
Seth Curry
• Made his 22nd consecutive start.
• Dished out a career-high eight assists, the most by a Duke player since December 31, 2009, when
Jon Scheyer had 11 against Penn.
• Committed just one turnover the entire game
Andre Dawkins
• Hit three three-pointers, giving him 120 for his career. He has hit a three-pointer in 14 of his last 15 games.
• Scored a team-high 15 points in the first half on 6-of-8 shooting before leaving the game with a back injury.
• Hit his first four field goal attempts, including two dunks and two three-pointers.
• Went 3-for-5 from the three-point line to improve his career three-point percentage to .417, which ranks third on Duke's career list behind only Christian Laettner (.485) and Trajan Langdon (.426)
Mason Plumlee
• Made his 30th consecutive start.
• Recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. It was his ninth career double-double.
• Scored 13 of his 14 points in the first half on 6-of-6 shooting. Has scored in double figures in a half twice this season and in a game six times.
• Recorded his 500th career rebound, becoming only the 47th player in school history to reach that mark. He is only the 17th player to record 500 rebounds before his senior season.
• Blocked five shots to move up three spots into 12th place on Duke's all-time blocks list. Moved past Mark Alarie (104), Antonio Lang (106) and
Kyle Singler (107) with 109 career blocks. Also grabbed a season-high four steals.
• Blocked back-to-back shots on consecutive Colorado State field goal attempts in the first half. Recorded his fifth career game with multiple blocks.
• Hit his first four field goal attempts, including a pair of dunks.
Miles Plumlee
• Duke's first player off the bench along with
Josh Hairston.
• Scored a season-high 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor and 4-for-4 shooting from the free throw line.
• Matched a career high with three blocks in his first multi-block game of the year.
Austin Rivers
• Scored 12 of his 17 points in the second half with nine of those points coming from the three-point line.
• Sank a career-high three three-pointers and now has multiple treys in five consecutive games.
• Scored in double figures for the eighth time this season.
• Attempted at least five free throw attempts for the seventh time.
Tyler Thornton
• Made his first start of the season and the fourth of his career.
• Matched a career high with four assists and did not commit a turnover in 28 minutes.
Josh Hairston
• Was Duke's first player off the bench along with
Miles Plumlee.
• Attempted his first career three-pointer.
