A product of South Salem, N.Y., Haller has started all 25 games this season for the Blue Devils as a member of the defensive unit. She has helped Duke post a school-record 16 shutouts on the year while notching one assist in a 7-2 victory over Texas A&M on Sept. 9. Last season, Haller was selected to the All-ACC Academic Team and named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III, in addition to earning Dean's List honors.
To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
Haller and the Blue Devils are set to face Wake Forest on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals of the 2011 NCAA College Cup. The game will be played in the Kennesaw State University Soccer Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga., and will be broadcast live on ESPN3. The winner advances to face the winner of the semifinal between Florida State and Stanford in the national championship game on Sunday, Dec. 4.
