Mike Krzyzewski:

Mike Krzyzewski, who became the NCAA's all-time winningest coach with a 74-69 win over Michigan State last Tuesday, moved into sole possession of fourth place in career wins at one school. Krzyzewski, who has won 831 games during his 32 seasons at Duke, moved past Jim Phelan who won 830 games at Mount St. Mary's. Jim Boeheim of Syracuse ranks third with 859 career victories.
Team Notes:
• Duke extended its NCAA-leading home court win streak to 39 consecutive games. Duke has not lost in Cameron Indoor Stadium since Feb. 11, 2009.
• Duke started 4-0 for the eighth consecutive season and the 21st time under head coach
Mike Krzyzewski.
• The Blue Devils improved to 88-17 all-time against Davidson and extended a 23-game winning streak against the Wildcats. Duke is now 23-1 against Davidson under Krzyzewski.
• Duke won its 89th consecutive home game against a non-conference team.
• For the first time this season, Duke used a different starting lineup. The Blue Devils used the starting quintet of
Seth Curry,
Andre Dawkins,
Ryan Kelly,
Mason Plumlee and
Austin Rivers. The start was the first of the season for Kelly.
• For the third time this season, Duke had at least four players score in double figures with
Austin Rivers (17 points),
Seth Curry (17),
Mason Plumlee (16) and
Miles Plumlee (10) all reaching 10+ points. Duke has had at least three players score 10 or more points in every game this year.
• Duke trailed 33-27 with 3:10 remaining in the first half, but scored seven consecutive points to take a 34-33 lead.
Austin Rivers scored four of those points on a pair of driving layups.
• The Blue Devils held the Wildcats scoreless over a 3:40 span (starting at 17:07) during the second half. Duke scored 14 straight points during that run to turn a 41-41 tie into a 53-41 lead. That uninterrupted 14-point run is the longest of the season.
• Davidson shot 35.5 percent from the floor in the second half. That is the second lowest shooting percentage by a Duke opponent in a half this season, trailing only the 29.0 percent that Presbyterian shot in the second half on November 12.
• Duke attempted only three three-pointers in the first half. Duke had attempted at least four treys in every half last season.
• Duke committed just five turnovers in the second half.
Player Notes:
Quinn Cook
• Scored nine points in 12 minutes of action.
• Grabbed his first two career steals, one of which he turned into a three-point play on a fast break in the final minute of the game.
• Sank 4-of-5 free throws and is now 8-for-9 from the line this season.
Seth Curry
• Started his 17th consecutive game and played over 30 minutes for the second straight outing.
• Scored in double figures for the fourth time this season.
• Sank two three-pointers, giving him multiple treys in every game this season. Curry has 74 treys in 41 career games.
• Sank all three free throws. Curry is shooting 88.2 percent from the free throw line this season.
• Tallied a pair of steals, giving him a team-leading eight through Duke's first four games.
Andre Dawkins
• Started his fourth consecutive game.
• Hit a three-pointer for the 10th consecutive game.
Ryan Kelly
• Made his first start of the season.
• Blocked a season-high three shots, all in the second half.
• Missed his first free throw all season. Kelly is shooting 90.5 percent (19-for-21) from the free throw line this season.
Mason Plumlee
• Started his 25th consecutive game.
• Recorded his second double-double of the year with over 13 minutes left in the game. Mason finished with a season-high 16 points and 13 rebounds.
• Sparked Duke's second half run by contributing seven points and a full-court assist to his brother Miles as the Blue Devils outscored Davidson 19-5 over the first 6:58 of the second half.
• Went 7-for-10 from the floor to improve his shooting percentage to a team-best .645 on the year.
• Did not record a block, marking the first time in 16 straight games that he did not block a shot.
Miles Plumlee
• Scored 10 points for his second double-figure scoring game of the season and the 13th of his career.
• Sank all six free throws. The 6-for-6 performance from the line is the first time Miles has hit five or more free throws without a miss.
Austin Rivers
• Made his fourth straight start and played a team-high 37 minutes.
• Scored a career-high 17 points on a career-high eight field goals.
• Played all 20 minutes of the second half.
