Mulholland and Turewicz Victorious at SDSU Fall Classic

SAN DIEGO - Freshmen Annie Mulholland and Monica Turewicz completed the final day of the San Diego State University Fall Classic in ideal fashion Sunday at the Aztec Tennis Center.
In singles action, the two newcomers finished the weekend in a strong way as they both claimed championships in their flights. Mulholland took down host SDSU's Emma Cloffi 6-1, 6-2 to win the silver flight, while Turewicz also won in straight sets, downing Utah's Anastasia Putillna 6-4, 6-0 to win the blue flight. The victories mark the first singles titles the freshmen have won in collegiate play.
In doubles play, the two freshmen teamed up to take down Houston's Bryony Hunter and Giorgia Pozzan 8-4 and claim third place in the white doubles flight.
