With The Duke Victory:
- Improved to 14-0 on the season.
- The 14-0 start continues the best start by a Coach P team over her 19 years as a head coach.
- Notched its third victory this season against a top-10 ranked opponent.
- Won its 16th straight game in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Notched its 40th win out of the last 42 games in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Over the last nine years, posted a 70-5 record against non-conference foes in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Coach P improved to 48-4 in Cameron Indoor Stadium in her four years.
- Moved to 3-0 in the all-time series with Kentucky.
- Duke remained one of four undefeated teams in the nation (West Virginia, UNC, Florida Gulf Coast).
Senior Jasmine Thomas
- Registered a season-high 24 points and the 14th time with 20+ points in her career.
- Notched four rebounds, three steals, three blocks and two assists in 34 minutes.
- Had three blocks over the final six minutes of the game, including one with nine seconds left with Duke holding a three-point lead.
- Started her 74th straight game at Duke.
Freshman Chelsea Gray
- Had 11 points, five rebounds and five steals.
- Snapped a two-game streak of not scoring, after posting five consecutive games with double-figure scoring.
- Totaled nine points, three rebounds and three steals in 13 first half minutes.
- Hit multiple three-pointers in a single game for the third time in her career (James Madison & Albany).
- Matched a career high with five steals.
Senior Karima Christmas
- Held to six points, four rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.
Sophomore Allison Vernerey
- Had a season-high 10 boards and four points in a season-high 28 minutes.
- Hit only 1-of-10 field goals. Has hit only 2-of-19 field goals the last three games.
- Totaled double-figure rebounds for the first time this season and the third time in her career.
Senior Krystal Thomas
- With her two blocked shots, moved into 23rd place on the ACC career blocked shots list.
Junior Shay Selby
- Made her fourth start of the season and first at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Freshman Haley Peters
- Had five rebounds, two blocks and one steal in nine minutes. Turned the ball over five times.
- Made her first collegiate start.
Other Duke Notes:
- Shot only 26.5 percent from the field, which was a season low.
- Blocked six shots in the second half.
- Pulled down a season-high 27 offensive boards.
- Missed its first 13 shots to open the second half and didn't make a field goal until the 12:05 mark (went 8:12 without a field goal including the first half). Basket was made by freshman Tricia Liston, her first points of the game.
- Went on an 8-0 run to close the first half with a 31-22 lead.
- Collected 13 steals marking the fifth straight game with 10+ steals.
- Had a season-high 15 turnovers in the first half and finished the game with 17. Had only two turnovers in the second half.
- Held two top 10 teams to under 50 points this season (Kentucky 48, Xavier 45).
- Notched a 22-2 points off the bench advantage.
- Dished only seven assists.
- Totaled a 31-10 rebounding edge, including 16-1 on the offensive boards in the first half.
- Will next host 14th-ranked Maryland on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 7:00 p.m., on RSN-TV.
