Molly Lester for her senior profile. Lester discusses what she watches on television, what her dream job would be and much more.
GoDuke.com: What do you watch on television?
Molly Lester: The Food Network.
GoDuke.com: Any certain show stand out on the Food Network?
ML: No, I pretty much like all of them on The Food Network.
GoDuke.com: What do you have on your iPod before a game?
ML: You know, I actually don't listen to my iPod before a game. I think I'm one of three on the team that don't.
GoDuke.com: What kind of music do you like to listen to?
ML: Anything that has a fast beat before games. I like a little bit of everything.
GoDuke.com: Favorite movie?
ML: Legally Blonde
GoDuke.com: What's on your bucket list?
ML: To run a marathon and go to Africa.
GoDuke.com: What was your first job you ever had?
ML: I was a referee for little hatters - youth soccer.
GoDuke.com: What about favorite home-cooked meal?
ML: Well, for Christmas my mom always makes Coq Ou—It's chicken and wine. It's French.
GoDuke.com: What's your favorite class at Duke?
ML: My favorite class was a creative writing class I took called writing persuasively.
GoDuke.com: What's been your toughest class at Duke?
ML: My toughest class was a science class I took freshman year. It was Biological Anatomy and Anthropology. It was supposed to be an easy lecture course but I got the wrong teacher so it was very challenging.
GoDuke.com: Where do you like to study?
ML: I like Perkins Library.
GoDuke.com: Who's the best cook in your family?
ML: In my family, probably a tie between my mom and my dad.
GoDuke.com: Where would your dream job be?
ML: Vogue as the Editor.
GoDuke.com: What do you like to read?
ML: I read everything. I read a lot of fiction and a lot of American classics.
GoDuke.com: Who has had the most impact on your life and why?
ML: Probably both of my parents because they've always encouraged me to follow my dreams and be whatever I wanted to be and there was never any pressure.
GoDuke.com: Can you cook? If so, what are you good at?
ML: I can sort of cook, I make good quesadillas.
GoDuke.com: What kind of quesadillas?
ML: Turkey actually, ground turkey.
GoDuke.com: Who would you trade places with for a day?
ML: Oprah Winfrey - Because her life is really glamorous and I'd love to see what it's like.
GoDuke.com: Who is your most eccentric teammate?
ML: Emily Nahas – Because just from what she wears to what she says to how she dances.
GoDuke.com: Who would be your dream date?
ML: David Beckham.
GoDuke.com: Favorite sport to watch on television?
ML: Football.
GoDuke.com: Favorite sport to play other than your own?
ML: Running.
GoDuke.com: Worst habit?
ML: Biting my nails.
GoDuke.com: Best vacation?
ML: Going to Paris.
GoDuke.com: What's the best concert you ever attended?
ML: Coldplay
GoDuke.com: Your first car?
ML: The one I'm driving now. It's a 2005 Ford Explorer, which was my 16-year-old birthday present.
