A Look at Women's Soccer Signee Alex Straton

DURHAM, N.C.-- The Duke women's soccer program has added one of its top recruiting classes under the direction of Head Coach Robbie Church. This spring and summer GoDuke.com took a closer look at each of the 2010 incoming freshmen.

The eighth and final featured signee is Alex Straton, who is a native of Oakton, Va. Straton was a first team All-District and All-Region selection as a senior, while earning second team Washington Post All-Met and Team MVP accolades. She was the 2010 Oakton H.S. Female Athlete of the Year and honor graduate. The 5-3 midfielder/forward also plays for the Vista Shockwave Club Team and was a standout track & field athlete in high school.
