LAS VEGAS -- Jon Scheyer, a 2010 consensus second team All-America, tallied 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in his summer league debut for the Miami Heat. The Heat used a 24-12 fourth quarter run to post a 77-72 win over the New Orleans Hornets.
Scheyer played just over 29 minutes in the game and finished 2-of-6 from the field (1-of-3 from three-point range) and 6-of-6 from the foul line. The Heat were +8 for the game with Scheyer on the floor.
Former Blue Devil Shavlik Randolph is also on the Heat's summer league roster. The Raleigh, N.C., native finished with 18 points, six rebounds and a steal on Sunday. Randolph was 6-of-14 from the field and 6-of-11 from the foul line in the contest.
DeMarcus Nelson is also playing in the Las Vegas Summer League with Milwaukee. The Bucks face Dallas on Monday at 8:00 p.m. in their first game of the NBA Las Vegas Summer League
