Duke Hosts Texas A&M in Top 10 Matchup on ESPN2...
In a matchup of top 10 teams, the fifth-ranked Duke women's basketball team (8-0) will host seventh-ranked Texas A&M (6-0) on Monday, Dec. 6 at 7:00 p.m., which will be a part of the Jimmy V Women's Basketball Classic at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The contest will be aired live on ESPN2 with Pam Ward (PXP) and Carolyn Peck (Color) calling the action. Fans can also catch the game live on the Blue Devil Sports Network with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air.

Duke will be playing its first home game since Nov. 21 as the Blue Devils completed a four-game road swing on Thursday at Wisconsin. The Blue Devils are currently 8-0 and are off to the best start for a Joanne P. McCallie team over her 19 years as a head coach. The Blue Devils are currently ranked No. 5 in the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll, while Texas A&M is listed seventh in both polls.

Noting Duke...
Nine different Blue Devils have hit at least one three-pointer on the season ... freshman Chloe Wells leads Duke with 17 steals ... senior Jasmine Thomas has started 68 straight games ... A Look At Texas A&M...
Texas A&M enters Monday with a 6-0 record under the direction of Head Coach Gary Blair. The Aggies have been led by Danielle Adams (20.7 points, 8.0 rebounds), Tyra White (14.2 points, 4.5 rebounds), Adaora Elonu (9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds) and Sydney Colson (8.0 points, 1.5 rebounds) on the season. On the year, Texas A&M is outscoring its opponents by a 26.8 margin and is forcing 24.7 turnovers by its opponents.

The Series With Texas A&M...
Duke and Texas A&M will meet for the fourth time in school history. The Aggies lead the overall series, 3-0, with the meetings coming in 1995, 2008 and 2009. This will be the first meeting in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the two squads. Over her 19 years as a head coach, Joanne P. McCallie owns a record of 0-2 all-time against Texas A&M.

The 95 points allowed by Duke at Texas A&M last year was the most allowed by a Blue Devil team since the 104 points Connecticut scored on Nov. 13, 1998. The 56.9 field goal percentage by the Aggies a year ago was the highest allowed by Duke since Florida State shot 57.4 percent on Feb. 4, 2004. The game broke Duke's 51-game ACC winning streak.

Duke Versus the Big 12...
The Blue Devils have played a total of 17 games against Big 12 teams, winning 10 of those meetings. Duke has won three out of the last six contests against Big 12 squads.

Overall, the Blue Devils have faced Baylor (0-1), Colorado (0-1), Iowa State (2-0), Kansas State (1-0), Oklahoma (0-1), Oklahoma State (2-0), Texas (3-1), Texas A&M (0-3) and Texas Tech (2-0).

Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...

The Blue Devils have won 35 straight home games in the month of December. The last loss came on Dec. 20, 1997 against UCLA, 93-83.
Duke has registered 35 wins out of its last 37 games at home against non-conference foes. Over the last eight years, the Blue Devils have posted a 62-5 overall record against non-conference opponents in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The losses came against Tennessee (2), Connecticut (2) and South Carolina.
The last time Gary Blair brought a team to Cameron Indoor Stadium was on March 19, 2001 as the Blue Devils hosted Arkansas in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Duke won 75-54 to advance to the NCAA Sweet 16.
Duke owns an all-time record of 16-5 against teams from the state of Texas -- Baylor (0-1), Houston (2-0), Houston Baptist (1-0), SMU (1-0), Southwest Texas State (1-0), Stephen F. Austin (2-0), TCU (2-0), Texas (3-1), Texas A&M (0-3), Texas-San Antonio (1-0), Texas Tech (2-0) and West Texas State (1-0). In five road games, freshman Chelsea Gray is averaging 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals. She has hit 5-of-12 treys.
Senior Jasmine Thomas continues to move up the Duke career scoring list this season as she now ranks tied for 17th with 1,281 points. She needs two more to move into a tie for 16th with Sheana Mosch.
All three of Duke's seniors -- Jasmine Thomas, Karima Christmas and Krystal Thomas -- have notched double-doubles this season.
Duke is getting very balanced scoring so far this season. The Blue Devils have totaled six different players with double-figure points at Pittsburgh and five at Auburn. Two Duke players are averaging double-figure points -- Jasmine Thomas (15.0), Karima Christmas (10.8) and four other are averaging over 6.0 points a contest.
The 8-0 record to start the year marks the best start by any of Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie's teams over her 19 years as a head coach.

Jimmy V Classic...
Duke will compete in the Jimmy V Women's Basketball Classic for the fourth time in school history and currently holds a 3-0 record. The Blue Devils first competed on Nov. 24, 2002 against second-ranked Tennessee and won 76-55 in Raleigh, N.C. Duke next downed fifth-ranked Purdue, 93-63, on Nov. 23, 2003 in Raleigh followed by an 85-45 win at 19th-ranked Rutgers on Dec. 4, 2006 in Piscataway, N.J.

Thomas Against Ranked...
Last season, Jasmine Thomas played some of her best basketball against ranked opponents. She averaged 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals. Thomas hit 22 treys in 12 games against ranked foes. Some of her top games were against #16 Texas A&M (26), #3 Ohio State (29), #13 Florida State (23), #21 Virginia (21) and #19 Georgia Tech (20).

Gray Coming on Strong...
Freshman Chelsea Gray continues to make progress, after missing a considerable amount of playing time due to an injured foot. Over the last seven games, Gray has averaged 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 steals in only 17.6 minutes per game.

Gray is coming off notching all of her 13 points in the second half at Wisconsin. The 5-11 guard started the second stanza and hit 4-of-5 field goals, had one steal and hit 5-of-5 free throws in 14 minutes in the half.

At James Madison, Gray came off the bench to post a career-high 15 points, career-high six rebounds and one assist. She hit a career-high two three-pointers in the first half on three attempts.

Over the last two games, Gray is averaging 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists.

Gray has hit a three-pointer in six out of the last seven games and her 14 assists is the second-highest on the Duke squad.

At Home in Cameron Indoor Stadium...
Since Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie took over as head coach at Duke in 2007-08, she has guided the Blue Devils to a 43-4 overall record in Cameron Indoor Stadium. During that stretch, the Blue Devils posted a 14-0 mark in 2008-09, which was only the second undefeated home season in school history.

Duke is currently riding an 11-game winning streak in Cameron and has won 34 out of the last 35 games at home.
In Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke has won 43 out of the last 47 contests, 57 out of the last 61 and 138 out of the last 148 games since 2000-01.

ACC/Big Ten Challenge...
Duke clinched the 2010 ACC/Big Ten Challenge with a 59-51 victory over Wisconsin as the ACC won 6-5. The Blue Devils improved to 3-1 in the challenge and won their third straight in the event.

Against the Top 10...
Over the last two years in Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke is 3-1 against teams ranked in the top 10. The Blue Devils defeated third-ranked Ohio State, third-ranked Stanford and ninth-ranked North Carolina, while falling to No. 1 Connecticut.

In her four years at Duke, Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie has registered 12 victories against ranked opponents in Cameron Indoor Stadium, including four in the top 10.
