DURHAM, N.C. – After concluding the regular season winning four out of its final six contests, the Duke women's soccer team (10-6-3) enters the ACC Tournament as the seventh seed and will face second-seeded Maryland (15-2-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 5:00 p.m., in the quarterfinals. The match will be played at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
North Carolina has earned the top seed and will face eighth-seeded Virginia Tech in Wednesday's noon quarterfinal match, while other quarterfinal action will feature fourth-seeded Florida State vs. No. 5 Wake Forest at 2:30 p.m., and third-seeded Virginia vs. No. 6 Boston College at 7:30 p.m.
The semifinal matches are set for Friday at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The finals are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The winner of the Duke/Maryland contest will next play at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 5 against the winner of the Virginia/Boston College match.

The SeriesDuke and Maryland will meet for the 30th time in school history on Wednesday with the Blue Devils leading the series, 13-11-5. The Blue Devils own a 2-4 record against Maryland in ACC Tournament contests. The two teams have not faced each other in ACC Tournament play since 1999 when the Terrapins downed Duke, 2-1.

Maryland has been led by Jasmyne Spencer with nine goals and five assists, while Sade Ayinde and Ashley Grove each have posted eight goals. Caitlin Mcdowell has a team-high 11 assists.

Laura Weinberg and
Mollie Pathman each were named second team All-ACC on Tuesday, while both rookies were selected to the All-ACC Freshman team. Rookie
Kaitlyn Kerr was also named to the All-ACC Freshman team. Weinberg owns nine goals, two assists and 20 points starting at forward. Pathman has a team-best 21 points, while posting eight goals and five assists. Kerr saw limited action at the first of the year due to a knee injury but has come on strong with three goals and five assists.

Mollie Pathman notched two goals against North Carolina to close the regular season with eight tallies. Her multi-goal performance marked the third of her short career and the second in ACC play. Pathman enters ACC Tournament play scoring five goals over her final six matches. She owns eight total goals and a team-high 21 points on the year.

Weinberg Nets Multi-Goal GameFor the first time in her short career, freshman
Laura Weinberg scored two goals against sixth-ranked Boston College on Oct. 21. She also added an assist on the third goal to give her five points in only 54 minutes. Weinberg now owns nine goals and is one away from matching the Duke single-season record for goals by a freshman. Sarah Friend currently holds the record with 10 in 1989.

Youthful LineupAt times this season, the Blue Devils have started 10 freshmen and sophomores along with one senior. Duke boasts a total of 17 freshmen and sophomores on the roster. Sister DuoDuke features the only sister duo in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in 2010. Ashley and
Avery Rape will begin the first of three years of playing together this season. The duo are from Dallas, Texas and attended Greenhill School. Ashley is a defender, while Avery is a forward/midfielder.
