Booth Earns Counsilman-Hunsaker Swimmer of the Week

DURHAM, N.C. - Duke senior captain Spencer Booth was selected for the Cousilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week honor. He shares this season's first award with freshman Emily Bos of Auburn University, who was nominated on the women's side.

Booth had two first place finishes in a 168-124 win over Maryland. He swept the 100 back (50.99) and 200 back (1:49.87), while also leading the 200 medley relay team to victory as well, setting a new pool record for the Blue Devils.

The winners were selected by coaches and media relations personnel for their performances on October 19-25.

Booth and the Duke swimming and diving team will next compete on Friday, Oct. 29, when it hosts N.C. State and the women of Campbell University at 5:00 p.m.
