Accessibility Accommodations

Accessible Parking – Available in the Card Gym Lot off of Towerview Road GPS Address: 330 Towerview Rd, Durham, NC 27705
Accessible Entrance -Â Accessible entrance for guests with disabilities located immediately adjacent to the Card Lot at the Wilson Recreation Center. Guests should speak to the front desk attendant at the Wilson center for access. Once inside the Wilson Center, guests will turn left and follow the hallway toward the basketball courts to reach the elevator. Guests should take the elevator to the second (2nd) floor and enter the pavilion through the cardio area. Â
Accessible Seating - is available on the observation deck above the main pool. Folding chairs will be available upon request for companion seating.
Accessible Restrooms - Accessible restrooms are located in the Wilson Recreation Center next to the Weight Room. Directional signage is posted in the facility to help direct guests.
Alcohol
It is strictly prohibited to bring alcohol into Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the facility.
ATMs
There are no ATMs inside Taishoff Aquatic Center. The nearest BB&T ATM is located at Tribull Plaza next to the Duke Ticket Office and the Johnson Family Team Store. The ATM only dispenses cash ($20 increments) and does not take deposits.
Bag Policy
Bags of all sizes are permitted inside Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion on game day. All personal items are subject to inspection by the Game Manager prior to entry.
Banners and Signs
Banners and Signs are permitted inside Taishoff Aquatic Center, however Duke reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other fans, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement, or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate, or derogatory.Â
Camera Policy
Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use only. No cameras are permitted into the facility with a lens longer than four (4) inches. Video cameras are permitted to be used during pre-meet and during intermissions. Video cameras are prohibited from filming while the meet is under way.
Concessions
Concessions and Merchandise are available for certain meets. The stand will be located in the lobby above the starting blocks in the lap pool. Concessions and Merchandise are CASH ONLY. Duke Points, ATM, debit, and credit cards are NOT accepted.Â
Conduct
Duke Athletics expects all guests to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the competition. We expect all guests to treat other fans, players, coaches and officials with courtesy and respect.  Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion by not:
           ·  Interfering with other guests' ability to enjoy the game;
           ·  Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
           ·  Appearing to be intoxicated or in a diminished capacity;
           ·  Entering the competition or restricted access areas;
           ·  Smoking except in designated areas;
           ·  Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue; or
           ·  Otherwise being disorderly.Â
Violators are subject to ejection and possible arrest. Fans should contact a stadium official if they feel someone is not acting appropriately.Â
Doors (Entrance into stadium)
All doors to Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
There are (2) entrances for all Swimming & Diving Meets:
    -Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion Lobby Entrance – Located at the bottom of the service drive between Card Gym and the Yoh Football Building. Directional signage will be in place to assist guests. This entrance is NOT accessible to guests with disabilities.
  -Wilson Recreation Center Main Entrance – Accessible entrance for guests with disabilities located immediately adjacent to the Card Lot. Guests should speak to the front desk attendant for access. Once inside the Wilson Center, guests will turn left and follow the hallway toward the basketball courts to reach the elevator. Guests should take the elevator to the second (2nd) floor and enter the pavilion through the cardio area.  All personal items (small bags, purses, strollers, etc.) are subject to inspection and search prior to entering the stadium.
Emergency Medical Assistance
For first aid or emergency medical assistance, contact any Duke Athletics staff or call Duke Police at (919) 684-2444. For incidents outside the stadium, dial 9-1-1 to reach Durham Police.
Emergency Preparedness
        ·   During any emergency inside the stadium, follow the directions of the PA announcer, Duke Athletics staff and emergency responders.Â
        ·    Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the stadium to meet friends and family in case you get separated or in the event of an emergency.
        ·   Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency. Exits from the pavilion are located at:
o  Two (2) sets of doors from the seating area leading to the Wilson Center
o  Two (2) sets of doors from the pool deck leading to the Wilson Center
o  One (1) set of doors from the observation deck to the Wilson Center
o  One (1) set of doors from the observation deck leading to the main lobby
        ·   If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or causes you concern, report the activity to the nearest Duke Athletics staff or tweet @Duke_GAMEDAY.
        ·    Emergency vehicles may be present in and around the stadium. Please do not obstruct the path of travel of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with any of their operations. Vehicles or objects (tables, tents, tailgate games, etc.)         blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials. Vehicles are subject to being towed         at the owner's expense.
Food and Beverage
Outside food and beverage is permitted inside Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion but may not enter the Wilson Recreation Center.
Guest Services
If you are in need of assistance or information, please ask for the Meet Manager on the observation deck on the west side of the pavilion.Â
Lost and Found
If any article is lost or found in the pavilion, please inquire about or report the item to Duke Athletics Staff. All lost and found will be brought to the concessions and merchandise sales table in the pool lobby. All items and found items not picked up prior to the end of the meet will be available for pick-up the following business day by calling 919-684-5658 or email duaa-gameops@duke.edu to inquire about lost item(s). All unclaimed items will be discarded after 30 days.
 Media Access – Pool Deck
Only Duke Personnel or approved media and photographers will be allowed onto the pool deck. All media or photographers should contact the Duke Sports Information office at least two days prior to the day of the meet to confirm approval.Â

Meet parking is available only in the designated university parking lots listed below.
   Â
    · Parking Alert – When Swimming & Diving meets coincide with Duke Football or Basketball game days, different meet parking operations will be in effect and there will be a charge for parking. Meet-specific parking and traffic alerts will be posted on GoDuke.com and on @Duke_GAMEDAY on Twitter. Â
    · General Public Parking – is available in the Whitford Lot (GPS Address: 110 Whitford Drive). For larger meets, parking will also be available in the Grounds Lot with access via Frank Bassett Drive (GPS Address: 147 Frank Bassett Drive). For stand-alone meets, parking is free of charge.
    · Parking for Guests with Disabilities – is available in the designated spaces in the Card Lot (GPS Address: 320 Towerview Road). Guests should speak to the parking attendant at the lot entrance for access and assistance. For stand-alone meets, parking is free of charge.
    · Accessible Drop-Off/Pick-Up Point - An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for guests with disabilities is available in the Card Lot (GPS Address: 320 Towerview Road) in front of Wilson Recreation Center. Guests should speak to the parking attendant at the lot entrance for access and assistance.
    ·    Parking Emergency Information
    o  In case of emergency, please dial 919-684-2444 for Duke Police Emergency Dispatch. Duke Police will be the primary responder on-campus for emergency calls. If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.Â
            ·    Tailgating:
            o Tailgating is permitted in the Whitford Drive or Grounds lots. Tents, tables, tarps or canopies ARE NOT permitted if they impede foot or vehicular traffic or if they extend into additional parking space.
Pets
All pets (including dogs) are prohibited inside Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion. (Exception: Service animals are allowed to assist those with disabilities)
Programs
Meet flip cards are available in the Sports Information table on the observation deck. Heat sheets are not available.
Prohibited Items
For the safety and meet day experience of all fans, the following items are prohibited from entering the pavilion:
Duke University reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium. Any such items should be returned to your vehicle and/or discarded. All fans are subject to search before entering the stadium.
For the safety of all in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside of Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion. Unattended bags/items found outside the stadium will be dealt with in in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials, including but not limited to disposal. Duke University and Duke Athletics are not responsible for loss of any unattended items.
Restrooms
The Men's Restroom is located downstairs from the pool lobby entrance. Women's Restrooms are located within the Pool Lobby. Accessible restrooms are located within the Wilson Center adjacent to the weight room. Directional signage will be posted for all areas.
Seating
General admission seating is available in the bleachers above the pool and diving well on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Seating areas can be accessed from the observation deck or through Wilson Recreation Center.
Seating for persons with disabilities is available on the observation located on the west side of the pavilion.
Smoking
Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not allowed in Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion. Smoking is permitted outside of the facility.
