DURHAM, N.C. – Fans of college basketball or of leadership team-building techniques will have the chance for a rare glimpse inside Duke's national championship program as Durham's
Emily Krzyzewski Center has partnered with head coach
Mike Krzyzewski for a special benefit evening on Wednesday, November 10.
The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. in historic Cameron Indoor Stadium when the Blue Devils take to the court for practice in preparation for the 2010-11 season. The
Emily K Center guests will sit downstairs and be up-close to the action, watching with and gaining insights from former players
Jay Bilas '86 and
Chris Carrawell '00 as well.
Following the practice, the assembled group will tour the new Duke Basketball Museum & Athletics Hall of Fame, and then have dinner in Scharf Hall with Naismith Hall of Fame inductee and U.S. National Team head coach
Mike Krzyzewski. Bilas and Coach K will engage the group with an interactive Q&A to complete the evening.
The
Emily K Center's mission is to inspire economically disadvantaged students to dream big, strive for excellence in school and life, build strong character, and reach their highest potential as our future generation of citizen leaders.
