Team Notes:

Duke improved to 13-1 on the season, including a 4-0 record in neutral site games.
For the sixth straight game and 13th overall contest, the Blue Devils allowed fewer than 70 points.
The Blue Devils had two players score at least 20 points, marking the sixth time this year they have had multiple 20-point scorers. They have had at least one 20-point scorer in 11 of the 14 games.
As a team Duke was a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line in the second half and finished the game 19-of-21 (.905). It is the third time this season they have shot at least 90 percent from the foul line.
Duke held Iowa State to 2-of-9 (.222) from behind the three-point line. It is the fourth time they have held an opponent to two or fewer made treys and seventh time an opponent has shot under 30 percent from deep this season.
The Blue Devils held a 38-34 rebounding edge to improve to 12-0 on the year when outrebounding its opponent.
Duke tallied 10 steals for just the second game this season with at least 10 steals. They had a season-high 13 against Pennsylvania.
The Blue Devils started the game on a 9-0 run, making their first four field goal attempts. Iowa State was 0-4 from the field with two turnovers during the first 3:13 of the game.

Player Notes:

Mason Plumlee

Freshman Mason Plumlee blocked two shots to give him two games with two or more and a block in five of the last six games.

Sophomore Miles Plumlee pulled down five rebounds to give him at five or more boards in 10 of the 14 games this season.
Plumlee matched a career high with two steals. He also had two steals against Charlotte and Radford earlier this season.

Senior Jon Scheyer scored 31 points for his second game this season with at least 30 points in a game. He notched his sixth game this season and 21st career game with at least 20 points. He has scored in double figures in all 14 games this season and has scored at least 20 points in five of the last six games.
With 31 points Scheyer now has 1,625 in his career, moving up three spots into 22nd on Duke's all-time scoring charts.
Scheyer made 10 field goals, the second time this season he has made 10 or more.
With four three-point field goals, Scheyer has now made at least three treys in seven games this year and 39 career games.
Scheyer was 7-of-7 from the free throw line to give him 14 consecutive made free throws. He is now shooting an ACC best 75-of-82 (.915) from the foul line for the season. The seven free throws give Scheyer 489 career made foul shots, moving him past Johnny Dawkins into ninth on Duke's career list.
With two steals Scheyer now has six games with at least two steals on the year.

Junior Kyle Singler extended his consecutive starts streak to 41 games and has now started in 84 career contests.
Singler has reached double figures in scoring in 12 of the 14 games this season and in 71 career games.
The eight rebounds for Singler give him at least eight rebounds in four of the last five games and eight games overall this season.
With four assists Singler now has eight games with three or more assists this season and 26 career games.
Singler now has eight games this season and 39 career games with at least one point, rebound, assist, blocked shot and steal.

Junior Nolan Smith recorded his sixth game with at least 20 points this season and seventh of his career. He has scored at least 10 points in all 12 games he has played in this season and now has 35 career double figure scoring games.
Smith was a perfect 2-of-2 from behind the three-point line and is now shooting an ACC-high .25-of-47 (.532) from deep. He is 15-of-21 (.714) from long range in the last five games.
The three assists for Smith give him eight games on the year with at least three assists and 27 career games.
Smith matched a career high with three steals. It is the sixth time in his career and second this season he has recorded three steals in a game.
