Team Notes:
- The Blue Devils' loss at N.C. State ended a three-game winning streak against the Wolfpack and was the first loss for Duke in Raleigh since Feb. 15, 2004.
- The loss drops Duke to 0-3 on the road this season. The Blue Devils are 15-0 in home and neutral site contests.
- North Carolina State shot .582 (32-of-55) from the field in the game, the highest field goal percentage by a Duke opponent this season. It is only the second time a team has shot over 50 percent against the Blue Devils this season, the other was St. John's (.509). It was the highest field goal percentage against Duke since Wake Forest shot .610 (36-of-59) last season on Feb. 22.
- Duke shot its second lowest field goal percentage (.386) of the season. The lowest previous percentage was .284 against Connecticut.
- The Blue Devils held a 40-28 rebounding advantage, suffering its first loss this season when outrebounding its opponent. Duke was previously 14-0 when grabbing more rebounds.
Player Notes:
- Senior Jon Scheyer scored 21 points to give him eight games this season with 20 or more points. He tallied his team-leading 17th game with 10 or more points and now has 93 career double figure scoring games.
- Scheyer made three treys to give him three or more in nine games this season and in 41 career games.
- Junior Kyle Singler extended his consecutive starts streak to 45 games and has now started in 88 career contests.
- Singler had 22 points for his sixth game this season with 20 or more. He reached double figures in scoring for the 15th time this season and 74th time in his career.
- Singler set a career-high with 10 made free throws, finishing the game 10-of-12 from the foul line. His previous high was nine against Georgia Southern.
- The five rebounds give Singler five or more in 17 of the 18 games this season.
- Junior Nolan Smith has at least 10 points in 15 games this season and 38 career games.
- Smith made 2-of-3 from behind the three-point line, the ninth time this season he has made two or more treys in a game.
- Smith matched his previous career high for minutes played, playing all 40 minutes for the second time in his career. He also played 40 minutes against Arizona State earlier this year.
- Senior Lance Thomas set a career high with 12 rebounds. His previous best was 11 against Connecticut earlier this season. It was his second career double figure rebounding game.
- The two assists match a career, marking the ninth time he has dished out two assists in a game.
- Senior Brian Zoubek pulled down nine rebounds, the seventh time he has come off the bench to grab eight or more rebounds. All five of his rebounds in the first half were on the offensive end of the floor.
