DURHAM, N.C.-Three members of the Duke University women's tennis team are ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's preseason singles rankings. The ITA also announced the selections for the 2009 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.
Junior Reka Zsilinszka headlines the Duke contingency at No. 13, while classmate Ellah Nze is 19th. Senior Amanda Granson earned the No. 57 spot to round out the Blue Devils in the singles rankings.
Zsilinszka and Nze both were selected into the singles main draw of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships. Granson earned a spot in the qualifying singles section, while Elizabeth Plotkin and Monica Gorny are slated to line up in singles prequalifying.
In doubles action, Zsilinszka and Nze are in the qualifying bracket, while Gorny and Plotkin were put in the prequalifying bracket.
The tournament includes six rounds of prequalifying and qualifying matches beginning Saturday, October 3, 2009. The Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships are hosted by the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
