No. 4-ranked Duke defeated Miami 78-75 in overtime on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. to improve to 20-3 on the season.
A Winning Tradition
? Duke has now won 1,867 games all-time, the fourth-highest victory total in NCAA history.
? The Blue Devils have won 281 games this decade, the most wins in a decade by the program. The win total is the fourth-most in any decade by a team in NCAA history.
? Duke has also already won more ACC regular season games this decade than any school in league history. The Blue Devils have earned 118 ACC victories during the regular season. The previous best was 110 victories by North Carolina from 1980-89. Duke's previous best was 109 wins from 1990-99.
? The Blue Devils have started the season 20-3 for the sixth time in school history. Four of those times have come under Coach K with the last in the 1999-2000 season. Duke has now won 20 or more games 44 times in school history with 24 of those coming under Coach K.

? Duke and Miami met for the 13th time on Saturday with the Blue Devils now holding an 11-2 lead in the all-time series.

? Duke has now played 117 overtime games in school history with a 65-53 overall record. They have a 27-12 record at home and 23-11 mark in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Of the 117 overtime contests, 103 have been decided in a single overtime.

? The Blue Devils now have an all-time record of 736-149 (.832) when playing in Cameron Indoor Stadium, including a 376-54 (.874) mark under Coach K.

Krzyzewski Climbs Victory Ladder
? Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 823rd victory as a head coach on Saturday. He ranks fifth all-time in NCAA Division I history for career victories and is first among active coaches.
? Krzyzewski is now seven victories shy of Jim Phelan for fourth all-time.
? Coach K now has 750 wins as the head coach at Duke, ranking him sixth in NCAA Division I history for victories at one school and second among active coaches (Jim Boeheim, Syracuse ? 789). Krzyzewski is nine wins shy of Western Kentucky's Ed Diddle for fifth all-time.
? Krzyzewski's 823 victories are the second most by a head coach through 34 years of coaching. Only Dean Smith of North Carolina won more games with 830 victories.
1,000 Career Points
? Junior Gerald Henderson became the 58th player in school history to record over 1,000 points in a career with 19 against Miami on Saturday. He now has 1,001 career points. The 58 players with 1,000 career points give the Blue Devils the third most 1,000-point scorers of any school in Division I behind North Carolina (62) and Louisville (59).
? Duke now has three current players who have scored at least 1,000 points in their career. Henderson joined Greg Paulus and Jon Scheyer on the prestigious list. Paulus currently ranks 41st on the school's all-time list with 1,149 career points. Scheyer ranks tied for 47th all-time with 1,095 career points.
? Sophomore Kyle Singler is also chasing 1,000 career points this season. He currently has 808 career points.
Offensive Notes
? Duke tallied 78 points against Miami and are now 18-1 this season when scoring 70 or more. Under Coach K, the Blue Devils are 661-130 when scoring at least 70 points.
? Four players reached double figures in scoring for Duke, giving them 11 games this season where four or more players scored 10 or more.
? The Blue Devils scored 49 points in the second half after only scoring 19 in the first period. The 30-point turnaround is tied for the largest this season, matching the Florida State game where they went from 14 points to 44 points.
? Duke overcame a 13-point halftime deficit for a victory. It is tied for the fourth largest deficit overcome in a win. It matches the Feb. 5, 1969 game against Clemson where the Blue Devils trailed 42-29 at the break and ended up winning 85-76.
? For the second straight game the Blue Devils trailed by double digits at halftime. The 13-point deficit at the halfway point was the largest of the season. They trailed by 12 in their last game at Clemson.
? With 25 field goals Duke now has 25 or more made field goals in 15 games this season. The Blue Devils attempted a season-high 76 field goals in the contest. The previous high was 73 against Maryland on Jan. 24.
? The Blue Devils made 12 three-point field goals to match a season high. They also had 12 against Maryland. It is the fourth time this season they have made 10 or more treys. The 39 attempts from beyond the arc set a new school record, breaking the previous mark of 38 set three times (vs. North Carolina A&T in 2000, at North Carolina in 2001 and vs. Monmouth in 2001).
? Duke and Miami ended up tied in rebounds with 41 apiece. The Blue Devils were outrebounded by 11 (25-14) in the first half but held a 21-12 advantage in the second half and 6-4 edge in overtime. Two Duke players grabbed 10 or more rebounds, the second time (Wake Forest) this season that has happened.
? The Blue Devils pulled down 18 offensive rebounds and held a 19-10 advantage in second chance points. They have had 11 games this year with 15 or more offensive boards.
? The Blue Devils committed just nine turnovers and now have four games this season with 10 or fewer turnovers.
Defensive Notes
? The Blue Devils allowed 34 points by Miami's Jack McClinton. It is most points scored by a player against Duke this year and first time a player has scored 30 or more against the Blue Devils since Brandon Costner had 30 for N.C. State on March 8, 2007.
? Duke forced 19 turnovers in the game to give them 16 games this season where they have forced 15 or more turnovers. The Blue Devils took advantage, scoring 24 points off Miami's miscues.

Gerald Henderson
? Junior Gerald Henderson became the 58th player in school history to record over 1,000 career points as he finished with 19 points on 8-of-18 from the field, 2-of-7 from the three-point line and 1-of-3 from the foul line.
? Henderson has scored 10 or more points in 15 straight games and 19 times overall this season. He has scored at least 16 points in nine consecutive games, averaging 19.8 points per game during that span.
? With eight field goals made, Henderson has six games this season where he has made eight or more shots. His 18 attempts were a career high. He has 17 earlier this season against Wake Forest and last year against Pittsburgh.
? Henderson pulled down five rebounds to give him 13 games this season with at least five boards and 40 career games.
? Henderson led the team with four assists, the 10th time this year he has recorded three or more assists.
? With one steal Henderson now has at least one steal in 20 of the 23 games on the year.

David McClure
? Senior David McClure posted a career-high 13 rebounds against the Hurricanes. It is the second time this season and fourth in his career he has reached double figures on the boards. He had 12 rebounds at Wake Forest earlier this season.
? McClure added two steals in the game to give him six games this season with two or more steals.
? The 29 minutes played for McClure are a season high. He had 25 minutes played at Wake Forest.
Greg Paulus
? Senior Greg Paulus scored 18 points on 6-of-15 from the field, 4-of-12 from the three-point line and 2-of-2 from the foul line. The 18 points were a season high. His previous best was 12 points against UNC Asheville. He has scored in double figures four times this season and 57 in his career.
? With four treys Paulus became the ninth player in school history to make 200 three-point field goals. He now has 201 in his career with three or more treys in 31 career games.
? Paulus matched a season high with five rebounds. He also grabbed five rebounds against Maryland.
? Paulus had three steals in the game to give him two games this season and 19 career games with three or more steals.
Jon Scheyer
? Junior Jon Scheyer finished the game with 22 points, four rebounds and three assists.
? Scheyer has now scored 20 or more points in five games this season and 11 times in his career. He has reached double figures in scoring 17 times this season.
? Scheyer made four treys to give him seven games this season and 23 career contests with three or more treys.
? Scheyer made 8-of-10 from the foul line. It is the fourth time this season he has shot 10 or more free throws.
Kyle Singler
