Team Notes:
- Duke extended its home winning streak over non-conference opponents to 75 straight games. It is the longest streak in the country with the last loss coming against St. John's on Feb. 26, 2000. The Blue Devils have won 35 straight home games against unranked opponents.
- The Blue Devils have won 48 consecutive home games in the month of December dating back to a 62-61 loss to Michigan on Dec. 8, 1996. Under Coach K, Duke owns a 159-26 record in the month of December.
- For the second straight game and third time this season, the Blue Devils held its opponent to under 30 percent shooting in the first half. Long Beach State shot .294 (10-of-34) to join Gonzaga and Coastal Carolina as teams Duke has held under 30 percent from the floor.
- Duke made 15 three-point field goals (15-of-26, .577) to give them four games this year with 10 or more treys. It is the fourth time this season they have shot over 50 percent from beyond the arc with all four games over 56 percent. Duke shot over 50 percent from deep in both halves, including 60 percent (9-of-15) in the first half. Over half the Blue Devils' points came from behind the three-point line, more than double the total of points in the paint.
- The Blue Devils recorded assists on 13 of its 17 made field goals in the first half, giving them assists on 76.5 percent of their made field goals in the half. Duke finished the game with 20 assists on 32 made shots for a percentage of .625 in the game. The 20 assists mark the fourth game this season with at least 20 assists for the Blue Devils.
- The 10 blocked shots for Duke were a season high and most since the Blue Devils had 12 against Maryland last January. The previous high this year was nine against Gardner-Webb. Seven of the 10 blocks came in the first half.
- Duke held a 44-36 rebounding advantage and are now 9-0 on the year when outrebounding its opponent.
Player Notes:
- Freshman Andre Dawkins made two three-point field goals to give him two or more treys in eight of the 11 games on the year. He is shooting .490 (25-of-51) from long range to lead the team.
- Freshman Mason Plumlee recorded his first career game with two or more blocked shots, leading the team with four blocks in the game. The four blocks tied for the most this season by a Duke player. Ryan Kelly also had four blocks against Gonzaga.
- Senior Jon Scheyer posted his third straight game and fourth game overall with 20 or more points. He has scored in double figures in all 11 games this season and has 87 career games with 10 or more points. He has 19 career games with at least 20 points.
- Over his last three games, Scheyer is averaging 26.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
- Scheyer made six three-point field goals to give him a team-high 31 on the year. He has four games with four or more made treys. The six three-pointers move Scheyer into seventh on Duke's career list, passing Daniel Ewing with 218 career treys.
- The nation's leader in assist-to-turnover ratio, Scheyer handed out seven assists with zero turnovers. He now has five or more assists in nine of the 11 games this season with seven or more four times. He has 18 career games with at least five assists. He now has six games this season with zero turnovers and for the season has 66 assists and 10 turnovers for a 6.6:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- The two steals give Scheyer a team-high 12 for the season. It marked the fourth time this season he has tallied two or more steals.
- Junior Kyle Singler extended his consecutive starts streak to 38 games and has now started in 81 career contests.
- Singler posted his ninth double figure scoring game of the season and 68th of his career.
- Singler shot 3-of-3 from behind the three-point line in the first half and finished the game with three treys, giving him three games this year with three or more.
- The nine rebounds mark the sixth game this year he has tallied eight or more.
- Junior Nolan Smith has scored at least 10 points in all nine games he has played in this season and now has 32 career double figure scoring games.
- Smith matched a career high with four made three-point field goals, shooting 4-of-6 on the night. He also had four treys against Radford earlier on the year on seven attempts. He is now shooting .486 (17-of-35) from behind the arc for the season, including .600 (12-of-20) at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Smith also equaled a career best with seven assists. He also dished out seven assists against Radford.
- For the third time in the last four games, Smith did not commit a turnover. He has 17 assists and just one turnover in the last four games.
- Senior Lance Thomas scored 10 points to give him four double figure scoring games this season and 17 in his career.
- Senior Brian Zoubek notched his third career double-double and first of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
- The 10 points give Zoubek four double figure scoring games on the year and 12 in his career.
- Zoubek grabbed 12 rebounds for his third double figure rebound game of the year and fifth of his career. He leads the team with 86 rebounds despite coming off the bench in all 11 games.
- Zoubek shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and leads the team with a .667 (32-of-48) field goal percentage on the year. He is shooting 16-of-18 (.889) in the last four games, including a perfect 7-of-7 in the last two outings.
- Zoubek recorded a season-high three blocked shots to give him eight on the season. He now has 10 career games with two or more blocked shots.
- The 25 minutes played were a season-high for Zoubek, passing his previous best of 22 minutes against No. 13 Connecticut.
