Zsilinszka Falls in Title Match

WEST HAVEN, Conn.-Duke University junior Reka Zsilinszka's run through the ITA National Indoor Championship consolation singles bracket came to an end today in the championship match. Zsilinszka won three straight, including upsetting the nation's top-ranked player in the semifinal.
Coming off of a convincing 6-4, 6-0 over No. 1 Maria Mosolova, Zsilinszka met up with Miami's No. 8 Laura Vallverdu in the title match. The 2009 NCAA runner-up, Vallverdu outlasted Duke's Zsilinszka, 6-4, 6-4 to take home the consolation singles title.
The tournaments this weekend conclude Duke's fall schedule. The Blue Devils will kick off the 2010 season on Jan. 19 in Durham.
