Team Notes:
- The Blue Devils improved to 20-2 all-time in the NIT Season Tip-Off, including a 10-0 mark in first and second round games played at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- Duke extended its NCAA-leading home win streak against non-conference opponents to 71 games. It is the second longest streak in school history (95 from Feb. 2, 1983 to Nov. 29, 1995).
- Duke scored 101 points, marking the 103rd time under Coach K they have topped the 100-point mark. The Blue Devils are 101-2 in those contests.
- The 57 points in the first half were the most in a half for the Blue Devils since they scored 59 in the second half at Miami on Feb. 20, 2008. Duke shot .511 (23-of-45) in the first 20 minutes of play.
- For the game, Duke shot .529 (37-of-70) from the field. They have shot over 50 percent in two of the first three games and own a 421-30 all-time record under Coach K when shooting at least 50 percent from the floor. The 37 made field goals matched what they made against UNC Greensboro in the season opener.
- Duke was 12-of-21 (.571) from behind the three-point line, matching the highest single game total for made treys from last season. It is the highest single game percentage since the Blue Devils shot .577 (15-of-26) against Albany on Dec. 17, 2007.
- The Blue Devils went on a 12-0 run to take a 14-2 lead with 16:50 left in the first half. In the second half, Duke had a 13-0 run from 5:16 to 1:03.
- For the third straight game, Duke outrebounded its opponent, holding a 46-34 edge on Tuesday.
- Duke dished out a season-high 21 assists with six players recording two or more assists.
- With only nine turnovers, the Blue Devils were under 10 giveaways for the first time this season.
Player Notes:
Miles Plumlee
- Sophomore Miles Plumlee recorded his first career double-double, setting career highs for both points (15) and rebounds (11). His previous highs were 10 points, which he had in each of the first two games this season, and nine rebounds against UNC Greensboro in the season opener. He also had a career-high two steals in the outing.
- Plumlee had 10 defensive rebounds in the contest. The last Duke player with 10 defensive rebounds was David McClure (10) against Wake Forest on Jan. 28, 2009.
- With one blocked shot, Plumlee has blocked at least one shot in all three games this year, posting five total blocks.
- Plumlee had four dunks in the contest, raising his total to eight in three games this year. He has also won all three jump balls.
Jon Scheyer
- Senior Jon Scheyer scored 20 points, his 16th career game with at least 20 points. He has reached double figures in scoring in each of the three games this season.
- Scheyer also had six rebounds and five assists to go along with his 20 points. It is his first career game with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. He had two previous games with at least 20 points and five assists, including Miami in 2008 (27 pts., 5 reb.) and North Carolina last season (24 pts., 5 reb.).
- The five assists were coupled with zero turnovers. Scheyer has not turned the ball over in three games this year, while dishing out 14 total assists.
Kyle Singler
- Junior Kyle Singler extended his consecutive starts streak to 30 games and has now started in 73 career contests.
- Singler became the 42nd player in school history with 500 career rebounds. He grabbed three rebounds to give him 501 in his career.
- With 17 points Singler reached double figures in scoring for the 18th straight game and 62nd time in his career.
Nolan Smith
- Junior Nolan Smith made his season debut after sitting out the first game due to a suspension for playing in a non-sanctioned summer league game.
- Smith scored a career-high 24 points, giving him 24 career games with 10 or more points. His previous high for scoring was 21 points at Wake Forest on Feb. 17, 2008. He made 9-of-15 from the floor with his nine made field goals one more than his previous high of eight against the Demon Deacons.
- Smith set a career high with five assists on Tuesday. His previous high was four assists, which he had eight times, the last coming against Maryland on Jan. 24, 2009.
Brian Zoubek
- Senior Brian Zoubek was one point shy of a double-double as he finished with nine points and matched a career high with 13 rebounds. He also had 13 rebounds against St. John's on Feb. 23, 2008.
