With The Duke Victory:

Improved to 1-0 on the season in the season opener.
Moved to 27-8 overall in season openers.
Improved to 4-2 in true road season openers.
Went to 16-3 all-time against teams from the state of Texas.

Junior Krystal Thomas

Made her first career start.
Totaled her fourth career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in 20 minutes.

Senior Bridgette Mitchell

Registered 10 points in the first 2:49 of the second half.
Finished the game with 18 points and a career-high five steals in 16 minutes.

Junior Karima Christmas

Played in her hometown of Houston, Texas for the second time in her career.
Posted 10 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots in 26 minutes.

Freshman Alexis Rogers

Hit her first two career field goal attempts and went on to notch double-figure scoring with 14 points.
Had seven rebounds, two steals, one blocked shot and one assist in 14 minutes.

Senior Joy Cheek

Totaled 16 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, one steal and one assist.

Other Duke Notes:

Finished the game with 104 points, which is the most the Blue Devils have scored under the direction of Joanne P. McCallie in her three years (previous high was 98 vs. Maine on Nov. 16, 2008.
The 69-point victory is the largest margin of victory under Coach P - previous best was 67-point win versus Maine last year.
Held a 29-12 rebounding lead in the first half and finished with a 62-25 advantage.
All 11 Blue Devils who played scored in the contest.
As a team, Duke blocked 11 shots and had 26 steals.
Five different Blue Devils registered double-figure scoring.
As a team, the Blue Devils shot 55.7 percent from the field.
Its defense forced 33 HBU turnovers and held the Huskies to 20.4 percent shooting.
Duke will next travel to College Station, Texas to play Texas A&M on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 3:00 PM (EST).
